Barrington Christian Academy

Our two Littles have been enrolled for one month and we love it. Great staff, amazing newly renovated facility, very warm and inviting. I would not judge this place by reviews from a different location four years ago.

We realized quickly all of these bad reviews were from a previous facility and staff. They’ve only been in this recent building a year and it’s gorgeous! Really great location and the classrooms are spacious with a lot of light (which was important to me). For any other foster parents they also take DCS vouchers! So far we’ve had such a great experience with them. And they’re new so they have space!! We had zero waiting time-10 minute commute from East Nashville.

I will say everyone is nice and the building itself was very convenient. However, my child got extremely sick only after 5 days of being there. When I picked up on Friday, I was told he “threw up a few hours ago so he’d need new clothes next week.” I didn’t think anything of it until we landed in the emergency room the next day for an upper respiratory infection and norovirus that got the entire house sick as well. When I expressed that he got sick, I felt dismissed and was constantly told “well this is his first time in daycare he is gonna get sick.” it was not his first time in daycare. I am a very hands on parent and would have came to get my child immediately if told he threw up because that is not a norm for him. Also with the way I saw him throw up over the next few days, as a teacher there I would have been concerned and called home. I really hate it did not work out but lack of communication regarding my child being sick and the lack of consideration when trying to address it let me know withdrawing my child was in our best interest.

Generally great care providers. They are very understanding of dietary desires/needs. The potty training is good in Ms. Cathy’s class. The facility is always clean and neat. Staff are pleasant and welcoming. I haven’t had any payment issues, when I hand a check to Heather she always makes sure Patrick gets it. My child’s hands, face and diaper are always clean when I pick her up. My child does not cry when I drop her off as she does at other schools. Lastly, I LOVE the racial diversity.

My 3 year old daughter just started here.I had her enrolled in another Christian Academy that promised he same things upfront but ended up being a largely run playroom. This location offers age appropriate curriculum, structure, attentive staff with not overly crowed classrooms, a healthy food program that children still like, a wonderful facility and really good pricing. I called the day before I enrolled her and took a tour and my daughter felt comfortable enough in minutes to go off and start to play with other toddlers in her potential classroom. I had a hard time making her leave that day! The director checked and they had an opening and made it possible for my daughter to start the next day! Now I know that can't always be the case but, I was happy they were willing to do that for me. She wakes up excited to go! They are accredited through Kindergarten. I hope to keep her on until then!
