What a wonderful place to bring the kids! We had a great time attending their planetarium show and afterwards we checked out Hecksher Wild which did not disappoint! My little one saw a bunch of different animals including a tortoise, chinchilla and snake! We can’t wait to come back. Pro tip: the membership is worth it!
Beautiful and fun place to visit. As soon as you arrive you prompt to purchase your ticket at the gate. You cab pay with cash or card. The entrance fee is definitely worth it for all you get to see and explore. There is a lot to do (museum, hikes, walk path, animals to see and much more). I recommend spending 2-3 hours there.
Best immersive nature experience in the Stamford and Greenwich area. I love visiting the farm animals.
The wheelchair boardwalk is extensive and lovely! Ironically the start of Trail 7 is currently inaccessible, making it unsafe and painful. Looks like the gravel wore away. Please maintain this part or consider a permanent threshold ramp solution, so the Wheel in the Woods is truly wheelable 🙂 I look forward to coming back again.
Came here with my family. We enjoyed ourselves 100%. The location and grounds are beautiful. The animal and wildlife look happy and well looked after. I never imagined there would be otters here! My daughter loved that part as well as the playground, I loved the art gallery as well as paying a visit to the cows! It was a very enjoyable day!
