What Parents Say
Appletree Day Care receives mostly positive reviews praising caring, interactive staff and smooth transitions for children. However, some parents report significant concerns about director behavior, communication issues, and lack of transparency regarding child care activities.
Our experience with Appletree Day Care at Clarendon Crescent has been very positive. Our son had a quick transition to this daycare because the teachers were interactive with him and caring. Any day he ever had some separation anxiety, they'd reach out to take him and help redirect him successfully. This has been such a comfort! Everyone there has been so welcoming to our family and is friendly and easy to talk to. Each day, they talk with us about our son, and we feel so encouraged about his progress. He is happy and obviously well-cared for when we pick him up. Everyone there knows him by name and makes him feel special (he's all smiles by end of the day!). It means so much to know he is in good hands with experienced caregivers. We are so very pleased that we have our son at Appletree and feel this daycare is a very good fit for our family. We appreciate the Director, teachers and staff for the care they provide our son and all the children there. Thank you, thank you!! We highly recommend this day care center!
I enrolled my daughter her and it took a week for them to send me a link, that tells me when she she last ate and had a diper change. I've been picking her up NOT knowing when was she last feed, or how was her day. She was enrolled in the early headstart program which ends at 3:30pm. Then after that time they would transfer her to the regular daycare. There is where they would have no clue what's going on with her. Mind you they are getting paid for the hours after 3pm. If you have issues that need to be addressed you CAN NEVER FIND THE OFFICE MANAGER STEPHANIE. She is never in the office for more than 2hrs a day. They said they may be closing the office down for a week to fix under the building, but they are not accommodating parents. But they still want payments even if they are closed down and not watching your children. I picked up my child one Friday and she lost her voice. How much crying does a child has to do to lose their voice. No good. They don't play with your children. They look at them as inventory.
I give Apple tree, five stars, because everyone there is nice, you’re greeted as soon as you walk in the door. Also the staff are very responsive, professional when I arrive and picked up my daughter “she looks safe,” happy, she’s cleaned up the way I dropped her off, also my daughter talks about her teacher Ms.Marian alot. My daughter have came along ways from her first first day I dropped her off she loves Appletree Daycare. Also I’m sorry, I can’t remember her first teachers names but I want to say they are awesome thank you. I don’t know what I would have done without them with the potty training they did a fantastic Job that help me out a lot. The transition from diapers to pull-ups to using the bathroom awesome job you all!! Thank you, Shakisha Witherspoon
These women were like extra mama's to my sweet boy for over 2 years. He was always excited to get there in the morning and quickly blossomed into a social butterfly, filled with curiosity and imagination. Stephanie is wonderful and deeply cares for all of the kids and parents she serves. We love Appletree #1!
Ms. Angie (director) always had bad attitude and was always rude! They never let my child go to the field trips or even sent a permission slip home... She would always be left behind with another teacher and every time I had to pick her up she would be in a different classroom with a different teacher 😡
