They have a lot of billing errors. It seems like fraud to me. They are generally friendly but very plot-ty for weekly payment. They attempted to charge me more than my weekly rate. They’ve done it before and money doesn’t just grow on trees, it’s earned. In the past I had CAPS for my daughter and they charged her father’s card for ~$1300+. Presently, we are just getting back in town and my daughter only attended the daycare for 3 days which was paid for before arriving on Aug 6, 2025 so I no longer have CAPS. Ms. Minka was very nasty and rude in front of my child and the other children and their parents. She told me that the price I paid for on the APEC’s website was incorrect and they don’t offer prorated rates. I responded by saying I simply registered my daughter and paid the price shown on the website. I let her know multiple times it was my first day back to work and I needed to go. Everything was a “we’re not going to accept her.” For example, she went on to say I needed to fill out paperwork about having government assistance. I filled the paperwork out, then she said that they didn’t my baby’s immunization records. I emailed it to her then and there, quickly. She then said you didn’t complete registration. I told her I did but asked if I could fill that out by the end of the day. Her initial response was “no, we will not accept her.” In the mist of me going to my car because of all of the confusion I realized that they did not want my baby attending the daycare(it wasn’t just her it was Ms. C AND my daughter teacher Ms. Jazzmin that were not so friendly). I went to my car and for no reason simply because MY DAUGHTER WAS ALREADY REGISTERED like I thought. I went back in and she said, “momma why didn’t you tell me you paid already.” Mind you my daughter was already checked in by me prior to the conversation me and her had. She stopped US as we were leaving the front desk to check-in (she was not at the desk). She said you can finish registration before you pick her up as I asked. Another issue was the items that we’d need before attending the childcare facility. I received the same answer, “We’re not going to accept her.” With all of the other hostile responses and uppity behavior she must’ve forgot about our conversation of the items she needed but once she said my daughter could stay we immediately walked to the classroom (we had everything except a blanket/fitted sheet). They never called for us to retrieve our daughter’s previous sleeping items but said they did and must’ve thrown it away. I spoke with an older woman for!3,, m ed Hannah’s When escorting my baby to her classroom the teacher Ms. Jazzmin was holding a little boy. She didn’t really want to greet me but I spoke and so did she. She eventually put the little boy down. She assisted by making my baby a cubby by removing someone’s child belongings from the cubby. I could feel that we were not 100% welcome by here either but I felt like giving the daycare a chance was the least I could do including her father. I stated that it was time for me to go. With ALL of the unwelcoming energy my daughter was crying and asking me was I going to leave her there. I said, “yes, I have to go to work.” Ms. Jazzmin saw me just standing by the door and finally decided to take part in helping me calm my daughter. She just slightly placed her hands around my daughter’s waist to get her from following me outside. She said ___(daughter’s name) I’m not going to pick up and referred to her body part (if I recall correctly it was her hips or back). Now go back she was holding a little boy near the same weight if not the same as my child. At this point I’m being sensitive to the fact that it appears they are not welding me or my child into that daycare.

CASCADE LOC: My niece and nephew have been going here for years so it is very easy to see the difference in treatment throughout the years and the treatment between kids. My niece had a normal exp. throughout her 3 years. It seems once my nephew started and grown adults, not sure how qualified, would nitpick because everyday wasn't easy for them(the teachers). I grew up in Atl and I am used to having people care for kids who have the passion vs. something to do in their free time. There is no communication so they decide when they're fed up leaving you confused as to what the actual issue is. In the beginning they used to send daily updates but as time goes on and it's went downhill they don't even do that, eliminating the small bit of communication they had. They also have diff. teachers in the morning and evening who don't know much so no one knows anything about how your childs day went. They start making up complaints to try to build something on you or attempt to kick your child out. It comes off as if they play favorites so if you have all the time in the world to help them run their business then your child will recieve better treatment. You want to like them b/c they are black owned but it seems as management has passed, so has genuine care. The management has a tendency to be rude, nasty, and comes off as if she lacks professionalism, expertise or experience. They are losing long standing teachers possibly due to those changes. Once my sister decided to unenroll the kids they continuously wrote my nephew up for behaviors a 3 year old has but somehow as grown people who chose their jobs they can't seem to handle basic tasks such as a crying kid or a tantrum. They also didn't even know his age and kept saying he was 4. It was also expressed at one point he was "bringing the school down". I was going to write WAY more but it all boils down to lack of professionalism and at some level in the chain, no proper oversight. It seems like they may just be hiring people in need but don't have the real care or education to actually handle kids. I would look otherwise just based on you paying for lack of professionalism, communication, and the rude attitudes from staff. Unfortunately sometimes with black businesses it only takes one individual with a concept of power to bring things down. Wish them the best in the future but they need serious internal help and retraining. I wanted to wait until they were unenrolled to write a review so the teachers wouldn't single them out further. Add cons: no cameras for parents to monitor No BBB cert.-not necessary but it would hold them to better ethical standards

My two sons attend APEC Prep at Stonewall Tell ES. They love it! Of course, Fun Fridays are their favorite. The staff is amazing. Mrs. Greene and Mr. Anderson make sure to get to know every child as individuals.

My kids have been going to APEC since they started Elementary schoolin 2018. We love the after-school enrichment opportunities they offer the kids, culinary, arts and craft, basketball, and more! My kids also have the chance to start on their homework and have supper before I get there, which I love!!! When I ask my kids what was the best part of their day, they always start with what they got to do in APEC!! Thank you all for all you do for our scholars!!!

We had to change daycares, but we would never leave if we didn't have to! The leadership was welcoming and helpful! My son's teacher Ms. Sharon was incredible, knowledgeable, and dedicated! I highly recommend!!
