Very Happy here! I have been working in charter schools for the past 12 years. Finding the right fit for my daughter was hard. She is in the KindiePrep program and we have been so happy. The care and kindness everyone shows her and us is pretty amazing. Small class sizes of 10 and lots of support with character. She is learning things in the year 3 room I was teaching in kindergarten. I especially love the focus on manners and character, and the great communication. Full day Kindergarten is now funded by the state so we will be continuing at the school through elementary and middle school. I love that there are full time staff, not contracted staff only there a few days a week to support mental health for students. If a student has an issue a team of people support that student. I love that.
Our son has been going to American Academy for the last four years and we couldn't be happier. Our son has become a great students as he enjoys learning thanks to the awesome teachers and the care the entire staff take to encourage every student. The only bad thing I'll mention is that the carpool setup isn't the best. It takes 30-40 minutes to get through, but the kids are safe which I'll accept.
We have attended AALM since the year it began registering students. We are so thankful we decided to take the chance with the school. The staff goes above and beyond like you'll never believe. Our children have grown SO much, both academically and socially going to Lincoln Meadows. Not to mention, I've met some pretty awesome parents through the school years at AA who are my close friends today. Thank you AA staff for making school so amazing and by allowing us to be involved and proud of our school.
Great school. This is our daughter’s first year in American Academy Lincoln Meadows. We love this school and always grateful for the immense support they showed during the transition. She has been enjoying school and wakes up every day ready to go to AALM and learn. From our experience, it is a great school which gives equal importance to character as well as academics.
American Academy Lincoln Meadows has been a wonderful school for our family. I am sad to read the other poster's assumptions that all the kids who attend AA are snobby rich kids, because that statement couldn't be further from the truth! Most of the families who attend this institution are middle class families looking for a higher standard of education for their children. Ability grouping enables teachers to more effectively meet the needs of all children regardless of academic abilities. Moreover, the school is very accommodating to families with children who have special needs or sensory disorders who may need special arrangements. As with any school, finding and retaining quality teachers takes time. As a new school, it is not surprising there is some restructuring or turnover within the first year. This should tamper off and stabilize over the course of the next five years. American Academy is a wonderful school with exceptional academic presence within the community. Their statewide testing is above district average and the expectations for their students is not unreasonable. I would highly recommend this school.
