We attended Alpha CLC for one year and while the beginning of our experience was positive, the last 6 months have been challenging. I decided to withdraw my children last week after an incident during nap time - a teacher shoved my 2 year old’s legs down twice and then laid hers across him. They had also taken his blanket, pillow, paci, and stuffy away so he had no comfort items and was crying “mommy help me”. I watched this on the recorded video with the director and assistant director. They did not apologize or appear concerned and the teacher was in the infant classroom the next day (which tells me there were no consequences). This is not the first time a teacher has restrained him during nap time. I met with the director many times in the last 6 months over various concerns and while she talks like she will address the problems, things do not change or improve. There are many other concerns and this incident was unfortunately the final straw - I no longer feel safe there. My children are very little and it makes me wonder what else has been happening to them. DHS was notified and the center was given multiple violations for the incident that happened to my son. The violations can be found on DHS’ website. Other things are still under investigation. I hope recent events will serve to make the leadership at CLC take these concerns seriously and make changes to improve.
We absolutely LOVED our experience! The curriculum here has taught my daughter so much and for that I am grateful! They do a lot of crafts and learning through play, while having structured lessons. All snacks are provided, parents provide milk and lunch. They use the Brightwheel app to keep parents informed on what is happening throughout the day.

Alpha baptist is hands down the BEST daycare in Morristown. After a HORRIBLE experience at Blue Marble, Alpha has truly been so gracious, kind, and helpful to us and our kiddo. Staff is wonderful, trustworthy, and communicate well. Our child loves this place and we wouldn’t dream of putting him anywhere else!
