What Parents Say
Acelero Learning at NGN has received mixed reviews with significant concerns about staff conduct and supervision. While one parent praised the HeadStart program teachers, multiple parents reported poor supervision at outings, unprofessional staff behavior toward children and families, discriminatory practices, and sanitation issues.
My child does not attend this center, however I encountered a large group of caregivers and children (school bus full) at the Kids Connection Playground in Franksville, WI earlier today. I am writing this review because I was shocked by the poor quality of supervision provided to these children. My friend and I were at the park with our kids and during the 10 minutes we were present we witnessed a girl get kicked in the eye. No one came to help her until my friend stepped in. Kids were going down slides while other kids jumped from the top of the slide onto them, kids were pushing each other down on the bridge. Yet no supervision was to be found. The majority of the caregivers (10 or so) sat at the entrance of the park talking to each other and gossiping, while another caregiver was on her cell phone talking to someone. I only saw one caregiver interacting with the children. I would not suggest anyone send their child to this place based off this experience. Childcare costs so much, I would not want to waste it on caregivers who act like they have better things to do than supervise children entrusted to them by their parents.
We visited the center and we like the facility but with this good experience we had the bad one as well. So here is our experience with them. We took the tour 6 in the evening, we liked the place and facilities they have. The receptionist said you can come tomorrow so you can speak to the concerned teacher along with the paper work, as I am receptionist so I hardly know about the detail activities, which is pretty obvious. The receptionist said we have the rule first come first serve , so we thought as soon as we can, we will submit the form. Next morning my husband went to the institute and submitted the form at 7:30 A.M., They accepted the form and said yes………after 2-3 hrs we got a call from them and said we can’t accept ur kid as some other has come. We got upset as we were looking for day care from last 10 days. We thought at least we should talk to the director once. We ask about this than receptionist said she is not in the office today so we said ok we will talk to her later. Again after 1 hour we got a call back and said that we can accept your kid but instead of 12 noon we will accept the kid at 1:30 pm, and they said now they will not be able to accommodate my kid in the same classroom which was shown last evening. So we took the appointment again to visit the center and meet the class teacher. The teacher asked us with lot of attitude and she was looking like she is very angry and said at what time your kid is going to come? We said we are going to send our kid around 1:30 PM. She said “ MY BABIES SLEEP AT THIS TIME”, me and my husband were looking each other’s face as the way she said is sounding like that we are forcing her to accept our kid and she don’t want him to come at that time. At the same time we felt that she is not at all soft lady. It was for the first time my kid was among the other kids so he was touching the kids with curiosity as it is common at the age of 14 months, the teacher saw him and she twitched my son’s hand and with stared eyes said NICE TOUCHES……..We were really shocked to see such attitude with such a small baby, It was not at all acceptable. We don’t have any issue on stopping our kid from touching the other kids but the way she stopped was not good. We were really annoyed and told that Is this the way u speak to the kids? She started arguing with us and we came out, asked the receptionist that we want to speak to the director……as it couldn’t be possible at that time so we took the visiting card and came out of the center.
One of the worst day cares. They are discriminating and racist. My wife worked there but fired her due to being a mandated reporter. Don’t think about sending your kids certain teachers hit your kids. Very unprofessional management. I repeat do not think about sending your kids here
The teacher's in the headstart program are wonderful!
Sanitation is questionable
