What Parents Say
ABC Land II receives overwhelmingly positive reviews praising caring, professional staff who foster academic and social development in a clean, inclusive environment. However, one parent reported serious concerns about illness transmission, strict absence policies, and lack of compassion from management, particularly regarding the Pre-K program.
Awesome Pre-K program through Smart Start! My son really loved his teachers Ms. Krystal and Mrs. Sam and all the friends he met. They really helped him grow in his social skills as he was an only child who never attended daycare and for that I am grateful. We will truly miss our ABC Land II family!
This preschool is phenomenal with the little ones. The teachers have done amazing with providing the kids many valuable lessons. My daughter is already spelling and reading at 4 too. She also loves her new friends, she gets so excited to go to school. Ready to learn. I mean these kids are amazing and I've enjoyed saying hi to them all. You will be so proud to have teachers like ABC Land as they treat each child with love and respect regardless of religion or color. They always try their best to ensure each child is not left out and everyone participates in activities. Thank you ABC Land staff for providing a safe environment for these little minds to expand
We could not ask for a better daycare for our littles. The teachers go above and beyond to treat my children like their own. I have nothing but high praises to say about the daycare itself and the teachers. My kids come home happy every day, and are turning into the smartest and kindest humans. The communication between the teachers and myself is outstanding and makes me feel at ease while I am at work. You could not pick a better place!
I do not recommend the preschool experience, you can tell they’re not used to the “diversity”. They have so many viruses going around causing my child to be unwell and frequently visiting the hospital. They force the policy of the 50% rule and expect doctors notes for every single absence. They also constantly threaten your child’s placement if you don’t have a doctors note for each absence. They want you to keep your child at home if they’re not feeling well, so I’m confused…should they go for attendance purposes to keep their “place” or stay home to prevent other kids from being sick? They currently have multiple teachers out from the same viruses and sicknesses that the kids have been spreading around. I spoke with the director Lorraine personally and she doesn’t seem to have compassion for the children in the pre-k program. She told me that all of these viruses (rsv, norovirus, Covid, strep) will prepare my child for kindergarten and I still needed to go to the ER for doctors note. Even though I’ve been to the ER frequently over the past two months from viruses that my daughter has brought home from her facility and now effects my 1 year old. He also spent time in the Hospital from the viruses from the daycare. They do not care about the children, only their policies. So good luck if your child is a person of color or apart of the NC pre-k program. You will not get much support from this facility.
The staff are extremely caring and do such a great job with the children. I also appreciate the cleanliness of the facility and their attention to healthy eating for the children. I wouldn't take our kids anywhere else!
