DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!! If i could leave -0 stars i would My son attended this daycare for a year before I had my daughter & then she went as well. initially when it was just my son going I had no issues. I still felt as though they don't do a lot of learning activities with the kids, and it has been a hand full of times i would drop kids off and the tv would be on. Now when my daughter started that is when the red flags started. when my daughter was 6 months old her fingernail had very bad trauma done and they had no idea how it happened, and they speculated that she shut it in a hard toy book. They apologized and about 10 months later her fingers got shut in the door and their response was the staff member was closing the door and did not see her fingers in the door. 4 days after that my daughter's elbow was dislocated and her father or I was not made aware. Upon picking her up for the day her father said she was crying hysterically, and they stated, "she was crying because she didn't want to come in from playing outdoors". Needless to say, that was the last straw for us, regretting that I did not remove them sooner than i did. I had to call police Enforcment because they would not give me a definite answer on what happened to her arm but told the officer she "fell on her arm". I've bought up concerns to place cameras in the building several times to the owner she stated that it was "too costly". She is located in the Avon location I've never seen her in person just messages via email. she doesn't care she never reached out to me directly regarding the incident, stated that she would cover her medical bills for that situation, and she never did. They are not clean. there have been numerous incidents that happened here, with one being an employee brought in a handgun to "protect the kids" on multiple occasions which some of the staff was aware and did not report it right away. They constantly have new faces every month. They will close the center for "disinfecting" with 1 days' notice
I had my son here for not even a month! The staff is very unprofessional and uncaring. Everyday they were complaining about my son and left him with a horrible diaper rash and also a slash in his forehead and said another kid pushed him there’s just no way a kid did that under care!!! I packed my sons lunch box fool and they never documented that he ate ANY of it but lunch box always came home empty and my son being hungry like he hasn’t eaten all day! Yesterday was the last straw for us! I went to pick him up and they had no idea where he was as soon as I got mad and threatened them I went home to a police officer saying they called the police and my son is no longer welcomed there. EVERYTIME I go in this building every baby in that infant room is screaming crying one baby kept saying he wanted his mommy over and over! I also heard one of the workers tell a kid to go play aggressively all because she wanted to be picked up. This place is horrible and sad and if your kid likes to be loved this just isn’t the place for them or the place to grow! I feel horrible for letting my son attend there.
I brought my daughter to A Place to Grow Too after a bad experience at another daycare. Star was extremely helpful as I transitioned my daughter to the new environment. Because the daycare isn't too large, my daughter knows and is comfortable with all the staff members. All of the teachers I have encountered have been wonderful with my daughter, and it shows in how much she has learned in her time there.
I had my son there for almost a year. My niece went there aswell. The staff is completely unprofessional. My son was not giving the correct attention that he needed. He was not changed when he was supposed to be. My niece had to go to the er for a rash caused by them not doing their job properly. Any anytime we were going to speak up we were threatened with them calling the owner and lawyer any time we brought up a complaint. They didnt allow us to see where our children play and attend daycare. And they try to munipulate us as parents. Now we have him at a new daycare and couldnt be happier. Stay clear of this cesspool.
I absolutely love it my 3yo has been going there for 3 years and has learned so much and is excited to go every morning my 2 yo loves it the staff is so attentive and loving I can't imagine sending my kids anywhere else. I get pictures everyday and never have to worry how they are doing. I recommend them to everyone. And the director Cassie is amazing.
