What Parents Say
A CHILD'S EXPLORATORIUM receives mixed reviews with ratings ranging from 1-5 stars. Parents consistently praise the teaching staff and teachers for being caring and engaged with children. However, multiple parents report serious concerns about management, facility conditions, security, and unprofessional handling of issues by the owner.
In 2022, my children attended this daycare for a short time. From the very beginning, the teachers constantly complained about my daughter, who was only 2 years old at the time. On one occasion, my daughter caught the hand, foot, and mouth virus. I immediately informed the daycare about the situation, since my 7-month-old baby had also been infected. The staff’s reaction was extremely negative: they blamed me for the virus and even claimed that one of the teachers got sick because of my children. In the end, they told me my kids could no longer attend and removed them in a very unprofessional and unpleasant way. To this day, I regret not filing a formal complaint against this daycare. Parents, please make sure to do your research before trusting this place with your children.
It’s taken me a few years to write this but this daycare is the worst I ever used. My son is now 8 but he was a student at Wendy’s daycare 5yrs ago when it was in Kyle at the Mobile home off of 35. I was always called to pick up my son because he did something bad. When I got there he was sitting in the dark in a chair right next to the front door. I walked in and they yelled from the other room he’s right there and I got him and left. That same incident happened multiple times. Some times i would walk in and get him and they had no idea. I did explain to the my son is autistic and has sensory issues but they did not know how to teach him. They treated him so bad and were so rude to me especially Wendy. She eventually kicked him and my twins and daughter out when I spoke up. This was by far the worst daycare. Lucky we went to a daycare in San Marcos and met an angel of a teacher who knew my son was autistic and helped him learn so much.
My infant has been attending for about an month now. Super thrilled with this daycare center every time I show up everyone energetic. His teacher Ms. Jackie is a pleasure to talk to and she is very hands on with the kiddos in her class room. Sally an administrator is also a pleasure to see and work with when bringing my baby into the center. Easy review based off my experience with this center!
The manager is rude and even a liar. I recently registered my daughter and paid for two weeks and they never informed me that the second week was a vacation, and the manager says that I was informed, when she never spoke to me, and the lady who registered the girl didn't tell me either. said. I didn't like other things about the daycare either, but I put my daughter there because she is a little cheaper than the others in the area, but today I regret my choice. The second in command is kind, but she did not inform me properly when I registered the girl. The truth is I feel cheated
Director and owner is very unprofessional and does not have a compassionate bone in her. The Assistant Director and all other staff I have been in contact with are wonderful, caring, and warm hearted. Daycares should be run by compassionate, warm hearted individuals who love their job and ALL of their children. I was told to leave my child at home today, if possible, because Texas Rising Stars was coming. Yes, I have a very loud, strong willed, fiery, smart daughter but a good daycare with educated and trained teachers should know how to handle and teach every child. My family is full of educators and I have worked in daycares for years. The place is run down and smells horrible. The meals that are served are not nutritious like they say. If you can’t control one child, you shouldn’t be in business or accredited.
