What Parents Say
4 Views Academy in Lincoln has highly polarized reviews. While one parent praised staff care and communication, the majority of reviews cite serious concerns including inadequate supervision, safety protocol failures, poor staff training, high turnover, unprofessional behavior, and lack of accountability.
There is a lack of supervision, organization and accountability from the staff. My child clothes always get stolen and they never do anything about it. When I tell them I always get a run around from teachers including the director. If your child has nice outfit don't let them wear it at this daycare because someone will steal it.
My son (8 months) has been with 4 views for a few months now. I love how happy he seems when I pick him up. The pictures, daily reports and crafts are everything a mother wants in extras from a good child care center. It has been a huge relief to trust that my baby bear is being taken care of by people who seem to care and enjoy their job. ❤ Allison has been a real life saver.
Some staff do not understand safety protocols. One staff member came out during an accident and shouted at police officers "is there a problem?" Police let them know it was just a car accident and they went back inside. Many accidents happen in that area due to blind sights because of illegally parked cars near the daycare fence (even though there are parking spaces, daycare staff still choose to park near the fence which is an accident hazard waiting to happen). Understandably, it is a daycare and safety for the children is a huge concern but use common sense and be cautious. Do not go outside if you think there is a possible threat, and most definitely do not confront the possible threat. Schools and other facilities that have kids, teach them to hide and stay away from danger, strangers, and possible threats. Going outside demonstrates to kids (that are in YOUR care) reckless behavior, irrationality, and impulsiveness. If you do not know what's going on thats outside your parameters, then do not come to a conclusion without context of the situation. Observe out the window to be mindful of the situation but do not engage if you absolutely think theres an issue or possible threat, especially confronting them in a manner that is aggressive. Most daycares ask if everythings okay and safe and not "is there a problem". It's safer to stay inside, lock the doors until the "possible threat" is handled and controlled by authorities.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Staff is undertrained in my opinion. They give “all children a chance” but only gave my kids 2 days and kicked them out. Not even enough time for 2 kids to get used to a new environment/faces. I told them before they even started that one of my kids had behavioral problems and the other was autistic. On their first day staff said they had a pretty good day and the only thing they had issues with was transitioning between activities. But the next day they were just the most horrible kids ever. They told me that my 3 year old son who is autistic (and also nonverbal) that he found a broken spoon on the ground and intentionally tried to stab a staff member. Sounds pretty ridiculous to me. In my opinion staff should’ve made sure that there were no hazardous items even around the children. Nobody reached out to me about their behavior once and by the way they made the incidents seem, they should have called me right away! Again staff is poorly trained and should have more staff for the amount of children they took upon themselves to care for.
This center has a high turnover rate. Every good teacher that my child had, left. The staff gave rude looks every time I entered the building and half of them refused to interact or even say “hello”. They allowed my child to eat wood chips on the playground on several occasions without intervening. I picked her up while this was occurring and staff was totally unaware. She always looked dirty and disheveled when I picked her up. There was a director change during the time my child went here. At first, the new director Amber seemed really friendly and organized and I thought things were going to improve. But then they started messing up billing and she began meddling in our coparenting situation and that was the final straw for me. She had a huge attitude problem as well. Every time I was in there and saw the teachers interacting with the staff, the majority of the time they weren’t watching the kids at all. On their cell phones or just messing around. No one could ever tell me how my child’s day was or what she did that day. Huge red flag. I’m so glad my we switched to a different daycare and my child actually gets good quality care now. I’ve worked in childcare before and presently, it doesn’t have to be as terrible as this place is. Good management and good staff go a long way.
