What Parents Say
21st Century STEM Academy has received mixed reviews reflecting significant operational challenges. Positive reviews praise the curriculum, small class sizes, and caring teachers, while negative reviews cite severe administrative instability, poor communication, staff turnover, and curriculum platform issues.
This school is still new and maybe they will work out some of the issues they have now. Their concept is great but we have had a terrible experience with them. My son applied and was accepted and later they could not find his paper work. We had to reapply, and the person we dealt with ended up quitting. No one ever called us back about my son after countless emails and phone calls. We decided to take our child somewhere else where he will get the attention he deserves. This was very disappointing for us, we actually moved our residence to an area close to 21st Century Academy since we were under the impression that our son would be attending. I also noticed that there is no response from the school about negative or positive reviews. Just let's you know how their communication is.
We love 21st C Stem Academy. My Son has enjoyed getting to know the other students. The teachers are loving, kind, and well educated. The school offers small class sizes. Great place for students to learn, and it is really caring environment.
Please don't trust your children with these people. We have been through 6 administrators since August 2017 because of the "owner??" Glenn Delk. The teachers also keep fleeing so some months there wouldn't even be a teacher for a subject. Parents were never notified of these changes. The online curriculum "Grade Results" is trash, the children spend at least 30 minutes each day submitting corrections to the program admins, teachers are having to reset results for tests because the question had poor answers (either wrong, not covered in the material, or poor grammar). The "STEM Project Days" were literal disasters that were topped by the killing of 20 mice because nobody actually knew how to care for the animals so they ate each other. The school never addressed this with the parents or apologized to the children for having to witness this. Most teachers aren't coming back, most families have fled. This is a failed school experiment.
Amazing microschool, collegiate professors with strong EQ skills, low teacher/student ratio, Mandarin is taught everyday, hands on STEAM application - students from this school are truly being prepared for leadership + to thrive in the type of world that they are likely to inherit.
They lied to all the parents
