EDIT: I want to share that I have contacted the front office to discuss the charges and billing. They simply told me "we try to tell you what is covered when you check in" and "there is nothing we can do at this point". Sharing this update so this review doesn't come off as an upset patient who hasn't taken any steps toward finding a solution first. A lot has changed over the past few years. We started here because they accepted our insurance and treated the whole family. However, on our last visit was not great. Our whole family went for annual exams/cleanings and there was no communication about Dillon Family Dental being outside our insurance network for this visit. Something had changed between Dillon Family Dental and our insurance provider. I know this happens and I don't fault them for changing insurances BUT *no one* at the front desk ever mentioned the change to me. They even handed me a quote for future work without a *single* comment about it being out of network (and therefore heavily out of pocket). Luckily I went for second opinions and that is how I found out Dillon Family Dental wasn't in network any longer. Very frustrating and our "covered cleanings" were $300 out of pocket...for each family member. On top of this, after two additional dental exams/opinions no other dentist wanted to replace the crown that Dillon Famiy Dental quoted me $1500 for. Both second opinions (at two different Summit County offices) said the crown was something to watch, not replace. And both of these other dentists showed concern about a new cavity that Dillon Family Dental didn't catch. We spent a few years at Dillon Family Dental happy but this last round of exams/cleanings and diagnosis was not great and we will definitely not be back. I'm writing this overly long review so current and new patients know to keep an eye on their insurance and double check BEFORE accepting any services.
Becca is so thoughtful and extremely thorough with cleaning my teeth, and checking over my overall throat and mouth health. She is definitely not the ordinary hygienist as far as her skill set. As well as her caring communication as she keeps her patient apprised every step of the way as to what she is going to do next. All of this adds a great deal of trust and comfort for the patient. My husband and are are grateful to have her taking care of us.
Everyone @ Dillon Family Dental is incrediblly kind. Dr Isa has loving hands and both Vivian and Haas were so thoughtful, gentle amd attentive. Front desk ladies were super friendly and everyone seems to love their job! I've never had a dentist be such a pleasureable welcoming experience like this before! Thank you all!
I never expect much from the dentist, but after 3 years I can't continue going here. I've never had a dentist be so pushy about x-rays. I had x-rays 1 year ago, asked to skip them this visit because I really just needed to get back to work as quickly as possible. (I would have rescheduled but there's an $100 fee if you do within 24hrs) They were visibly irritated that I would be skipping them this visit and I heard no less than 5x how I HAVE to get them on my next visit. I've had no major dental issues and the hygienist and dentist weren't able to provide a reason why it was so important to have them done that day, other than "it's good for tracking any problems" Dr Isa preforms a cranial exam with no warning that she'll be grabbing your head. I wear wigs and she told me it was "okay" and proceeded to try and remove my hat. I opted to skip the cranial exam, as well, when I was also told "that it's standard"
The best dentist I’ve ever been to in the entire world. They really care about you and your teeth. Dr. Cirillo and her team are a remarkable group of people who truly care about you and your dental health.
