As an anxious parent, sending my first child to preschool at just 3 years old was a very nerve-wracking experience. I can’t say enough about how exceptionally well-run and organized this school is. My son has truly thrived in this environment—he comes home every day excited and full of stories about how wonderful his teachers are. From a parent’s perspective, the communication has been excellent. His teachers always make sure I feel informed and included, which has made the transition so much easier. I’m incredibly grateful to the many friends who recommended this school to me. Now that my son is enrolled, I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions we’ve made for his early education.

We’ve been incredibly blessed to have our children attend Zion Lutheran Preschool/School for many years now. The school is strong in academics while nurturing their faith in Christ. The teachers are caring, dedicated, and it feels like they are invested in each kiddo. We’re so thankful we found this school and truly trust them with our kids' minds and hearts. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for a school that truly cares about your child, no matter your religious background, Zion is a great choice. The teachers are incredibly kind and supportive, and they really take the time to get to know each student. It’s more than just a school; it feels like a close-knit community. Our experience there has been nothing but positive, and it’s clear they’re focused on helping kids grow both in learning and in confidence.

Our daughter was so ready to start school and Zion was an easy choice. The price tag feels intimidating, but immediately, we knew it would be worth every penny! Our girl was so intentionally cared for all throughout her school year! She grew socially, physically, and mentally! It was such a joy to watch her respond and learn all year long. If you're looking for your kiddo to be taught in a loving manner, look no further!

Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed with our experience with Zion Preschool. Maybe I had too high of hopes, but we think this isn't the best choice for our high-energy child. We were initially encouraged by the reviews. But now, we notice all the reviews are either old or from church members. You don't want to be critical of a church, right? Hence, we thought it necessary to share our genuine, unbiased experience. First off, as parents, we understand we have a high-energy child. As a pandemic baby, this is a "first experience" in a classroom setting. Being raised with a nanny or au pair, seeing and playing with kids their own age is exciting (i.e. definitely lacking some social skills). Almost immediately, my child was tagged and treated like a bad child. I had to apologize that my 4-year-old doesn't operate with military-like discipline yet. I'm fine with my child being labelled. Just as long as, they're being treated fairly and disciplined appropriately. Neither one of these things were true. The teacher on more than one occasion said derogatory remarks about my child in front of other parents. She also made mean jokes at my kid's expense. Totally inappropriate and not funny. We spoke with other parents in the class to see if we were being singled out. We were not the only ones. To be fair, other parents with angel children did not have this problem. Nevertheless, I would have given Zion a higher rating. Given this could just be our personal experience and our child is no angel. But other reasons reinforcing our rating. 1. Very dated facilities (not very clean) 2. No school nurse 3. No oversight/complaint structure 4. High teacher/student ratio 5. No extra value over the free Universal Pre-K (Paying $400+ vs Free) If you have a docile child and really want a faith-based school, I can see the benefits. But if you have an average 3/4-year-old and want a more modern experience, I know there are better options. Maybe with just a little further drive.
