What Parents Say
Zach's Place is a special needs-focused daycare in Colorado Springs with overwhelmingly positive reviews praising staff expertise, individualized care, and facility quality. However, recent reviews indicate significant concerns about staffing levels, management changes, and inconsistent quality of care. Parents report mixed experiences ranging from exceptional support to chaotic environments.
I really wish I could give this place more stars! It's such a great facility from the staff to the building. The building has tons of open light and a completely fenced in play area, which you can't see through from the street. The staff is absolutely superb. They are super patient and loving with my son and they have even learned how to do his G-tube feeding, which no one else has wanted to do. I was worried about being able to find a daycare who could handle and tolerate my autistic child, but here my worries are completely put to ease. My child loves going here and he is welcomed by the staff and other children. I really can't thank the staff enough for everything they do!
This place has given up. Even when they were offered free assistance from a professional ABA therapist to learn how to properly care for an autistic child, they paid NO attention and did not care to raise their standards. The place is a madhouse. There are kids running around screaming, and caregivers chasing them while yelling. They don't have any idea how to care for special kids, nor do they care to learn. They are always understaffed and they lack basic knowledge of how to care for special needs, despite "special" being in their name twice. They don't seem to know what they are doing and I would NOT recommend this place.
I was referred here from a previous daycare who could no longer accommodate my son. I was nervous as all moms are transitioning child care facility. My son started back in late February and let me tell you, he has so much growth! He doesn't fight or cry when he is dropped off. He is always happy when I pick him up. The staff is very helpful and my son loves them all. I am very happy the decision was made to bring him here. Zachs Place gives my son the one on one that he needs.
My son has been going here for awhile and i will say this is the ONLY place i trust with my special needs child. Trina, Isaiah, sita, Stephanie, jade, aubry, shanice, miranda are absolutely wonderful!! My son loves every single one of them and they are so good with all the kids. I would absolutely recommend this place to any family with a special needs child. They take the time to get to know every child. Everytime i come to pick up my son i see everything they do and some behaviors they have to deal with and how they deal with them. They handle these behaviors perfectly. Working with special needs children is not easy as i have done it before. The things us child care workers go through with the acts of violence and some other things is hard to deal with but every childs smile and accomplishments they have make this kind of job worth it.
What can I say about Zach's place.I am new to Colorado and wanted to find the best place for my son and daughter to have daycare. My name is Kim, my son's name is Cody he's 15 he's very low spectrum autism and he has a little sister 4 years old Desiree with no signs of delay. Finding Zach's place was the best thing for us the bond that the teachers have with my kids is awesome and heartwarming , this place is for special needs but what's also cool is that since Cody is special needs and has a sibling that sibling can attend this daycare as well 😄. Me as a parent every time I go into Zach's place my kids are smiling laughing, interacting with the teachers I even have my favorites, as well my kids do as well, the manager Krista is extremely awesome and my son loves her to death another best friend that my son needs. My son likes to play games like Boogeyman in the dark games meaning he will take one of his favorite teachers Krista definitely being one of them and he will push her in the bathroom and turn out the light and say woogidy this is the term he uses for a Boogeyman. Cody also has another great favorite there her name is Katrina my son is 170 lb very big boy so much love and beautiful innocence on his face as well as being very strong and heavy Katrina would give Cody like a piggyback ride to an extent but Cody loves it so much and he loves them all so much. My daughter too has so many good things going on there. She came home the other day with braids in her hair that one of the teachers did for her and she won't even let me touch her hair but she has that trust and love for them all. There both learning so much from there. There also getting her ready for kindergarten teaching her helping her grow everyday and soon she'll be five and be ready for kindergarten. I guess what I'm saying if you have a special child don't hesitate to check out Zack's place.
