Ywca Child Development Center

This is a womens homeless shelter by day. A men's shelter by night. I am in a homeless shelter seeking a housing opportunity so i can work from home and get back on track with life. Its a shelter. Its not fantastic but it serves its purpose. Its clean, the staff are polite and respectful. What is the extension ?? when you call the number the prompt says if you know your parties extension dial it now. What is the extension to call here ??

Poor quality basketball court that sometimes doubles as badminton court. Staff is nice and helpful. Limited parking space.

I have been attempting to contact the childcare director for approximately two weeks without receiving a response. When I finally did speak with him, I found his tone to be rude and dismissive. Unfortunately, his behavior reflected a lack of professionalism.

Good place to live. Drop in shelter is safe and clean. Comfortable cots. My only issue is getting assistance from the Case Managers. Impossible to get on the phone, she doesn't return text messages either

They have refused access to the elevator to 70% disabled women with walkers, cane , debilitating arthritis conditions. Bathrooms are often broken leaving one or 2 toilets for more than 30 women. There is no where to dress and if you attempt to dress in one of the sleeping den there is a camera. Staff spend 90% of their shift on their cell phones and get annoyed when asked questions. ( I must say there are the exceptionally good workers such as Khystral who is professional and courteous)Iyesha ( lady with a heart) Danisha ( kind towards us when approached). I cannot compare this drop in to an animal shelter because those shelters are very regulated, so how do I rate it, a 2 because of some good staff. Overall, I am grateful for a shelter from the cold
