My daughter attended Young Scholars Academy 18 mths to 5 years old. Alma and her teachers are a great crew who keep the kids safe. They do a graduation ceremony for preschool. They do different activities through our the year like swimming, movies, and going to the zoo. This is a great daycare with reliable staff.
My son has been there since he was 8 months old... he's 8 years old now... It's not the most polished facility in town, but we wouldn't have him anywhere else. We've always felt he was safe there, and the teachers/staff have always treated him like their own kid.
HORRIBLE DAYCARE!!!!!! My kids always came back with bruising and scratches from “falling”. One of the staff members mother would text me threatening me due to me complaining of her daughter that worked there who would bully my child. The director was always so unprofessional when it came to concerns due to all the incident reports. They went to the extreme of kicking my kids out of that daycare, because they didn’t want no problems when I was questioning a black eye my child showed up to one day. The director came to the extreme of calling my kids liars. I would never ever recommend this day care to anyone specially little children.
I sent my son there for a few months. Honestly I wasn’t impressed. The carpets always looked dirty, my sons stuff often got moved to different rooms. They seemed to be very disorganized in many different areas. They wait until a certain cut off time to see how many students they have them move the kids around (up or down a age level) depending on how many they have. This made it very hard for my son to get comfortable. There were plenty of times my son didn’t have the same teacher nor did the teacher know anything about my child. He was potty trained but needed a diaper for nap time. I stated this to his teacher but with them moving them around this didn’t always happen. One time when I came in my son was sitting alone crying, none of the teachers noticed or could tell me why he was crying. He was sitting directly in front of them. Maybe it will work for other people but it did not work well for us.
WOULD NOT!!! RECOMMEND THIS DAYCARE ! 👎 TEACHERS ARE RUDE TO THE KIDS & YELL AT THEM. DIRECTOR DEFENDS STAFF SHES A SORRY EXCUSE FOR A DIRECTOR. ALSO MY SON GOT A BIG BUMP ON HIS HEAD ONE DAY THERES WAS NO INCIDENT REPORT MADE AND THEY DIDNT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! TOOK THEM DAYS JUST TO TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED CAUSE THEY DIDNT KNOW?!!! AND I ASKED TO SEE FOOTAGE AND THEY TOLD ME I WASN’T ALLOWED.
