Great "small town" YMCA! Awesome place for doing laps while your Littles play in the same pool with you. Not too overcrowded .
shame on the lady working last night... my daughter was made to sit out on a family swim due to school behaviors very highly not appropriate behaviors. she asked to use the bathroom went to the front desk asked the lady to call cps bc she claimed she is abused at home. well shame on you because they are not going to fall for it. you know nothing about my family they just closed a case out two weeks ago for made up stories. Shame shame on you. you made your self look like a fool really. so your telling me if any one comes up and says call cps your always gonna do it ?? sorry but you have no idea the behaviors she has ect. next time come speak to the parents about concerns. I only gave a one star because my family and I love our membership and using the ymca but this was crazy for someone to do not knowing any form of information and in the report there was alot of un known information pretty much just abuse but not sure what abuse ect. then you put children in the report who was not even with us at the time. so please be careful because im beginning to wonder if this is a place for some family's if they have a troubled teen or child that has a history of lieing and making up stories. VERY VERY UPSETTING to know we Come there regularly and have to now take the chance to be viewed like this when this is not the case. I just want others to know my experience.
It's so sad the management won't keep the sauna clean enough to use.
I definitely did not have a good experience with the local YMCA in Hornell, NY. After 3 denial emails from Kate Warren a financial assistance supervisor and speaking with Mr. Kristoff CEO of the Dansville , NY and Hornell , Ny offices he did nothing to help with the situation. I was looking for financial assistance for myself and family so that we could occasionally use the swimming facility. I felt that were not given a fair chance, bullied and judgement was placed upon us!
I'm a new member and enjoy the water aerobics. The staff is friendly as are the clientele. Safety bars in all of the showers would be SO helpful. And it's EXTREMELY warm in the locker rooms. A little less so would be great
