What Parents Say
Parents praise the Lionville Y CELC program for its engaging activities, caring staff, and strong sense of community. The facility offers well-equipped fitness amenities, varied programs, and excellent customer service. Children are reported to feel valued and supported in their learning and social development.
The programs are varied, plentiful and generally well directed. The fitness center is well equipped and seldom crowded. The indoor pool is nice as is the gymnasium. Particularly as it relates to the programs, you can develop friendships easily and have a strong sense of “belonging.”
Awesome fitness center with tons of equipment. Love all the Life Fitness and especially Hammer Strength. Plenty of room to workout altho the fitness was a little hard to find at first but the staff was super friendly and eager to assist even at 6am 💪💪😀
I regularly play badminton at the Lionville YMCA’s open gym, a shared space used for basketball, pickleball, badminton, and other events. During designated badminton hours, we consistently have to ask the front desk to raise the basketball hoops to clear the playing area. Since these time slots are pre-scheduled, this setup should be automatic—not a recurring request. More concerning is that one of the basketball hoops has been broken since April & cannot be raised, rendering one of our courts unusable. Our community includes roughly 40 regular players who previously rotated across four courts. For the past 4 months, we’ve repeatedly requested repairs, but no action has been taken. Some members have even canceled their YMCA memberships, as badminton is their primary reason for joining. We’ve also asked for window screens to block the intense morning sunlight during summer, which affects visibility and gameplay. Again, no progress. Even during the recent “enhancement week,” no improvements were made. The open gym hasn’t been properly cleaned either. At this point, it feels like our concerns are being overlooked. We’re a dedicated group who value this space not only for sport, but for the sense of community it fosters. We’re simply asking for basic maintenance and thoughtful consideration.
Remove lobby air freshener immediately. It is disgusting and insanely unhealthy. Read up on endocrine disruptors, palates and parabins......you are literally poisoning your staff and customers. Wake up!
We are thrilled with our child's experience at the Lionville Y CELC program! The teachers show they value him every day. The activities are engaging and he is positively supported when learning how to interact with peers. Much appreciated!
