Ymca Of The East Bay Y-Kids Chadbourne

I appreciate that this YMCA has been doing renovations and is trying to improve its facilities. They just renovated the pool, which is very nice. The exercise machines and weight room upstairs is well-maintained. Their classes are plentiful and have been a very good quality. Child watch area is very small, so not suitable for a toddler, but for babies under one is an appropriate size. You have to pay for parking either on the street or the garage here, but they do validate parking in the garage. But get here early because the lot fills up.

Just a shadow of its former self. COVID masks enforcement is non existent. No parking. Pool ‘reservations’ are a joke. Have many suggestions, but it seems the MONEY is not going to physical fitness importance but is taking a back seat to community serving, i.e., computer give-always for children. Children need physical activity too. Please open the Womens Center again!

OMG!!! Yes, once again Oakland outshines all SF YMCAs. Equipped with indoor track, new treadmills, and spacious locker rooms. What a nice treat:-)

Great facility. Wide variety of equipment, packed group fitness class schedule, and always a few lanes open at the pool for lap swimming.
