Great place is you're not a gym person. The staff was friendly and informative. I wish I know the young lady name who helped me because she was very helpful. Ask the staff was friendly that's what I like about the ymca
I bring my son every other day and he loves it!
I had an appalling experience at the YMCA today that left me furious and heartbroken. I made a reservation for Open Swim a week in advance for my autistic son, who lives for his time in the water. We drove 30 minutes in the scorching heat, only to discover our reservation was canceled five minutes before it started—without the courtesy of a call or advance notification. The receptionist was shockingly rude and unprofessional, lying about lifeguard constraints despite only four people being in the pool. When I pleaded for just 15 minutes in a single swim lane or whatever is available for my son, she dismissed us with flimsy excuses and zero compassion. Seeing my son’s excitement turn to devastation was unbearable. It took 30 agonizing minutes to get him out of there, and the aftermath at home was even worse. Only parents in our situation can truly understand this pain. How can the YMCA cancel a reservation five minutes before it starts without any notification? Shouldn't there be a minimum time frame after which they must honor reservations? If there was a real emergency or threat, I would understand, but that was certainly not the case here. I hope YMCA management takes this seriously and improves their customer service, especially for children with special needs. This message seeks support from the community because the indifference we faced today was inexcusable. The front desk staff must stop hiding behind rule books and start showing genuine empathy and common sense.
Very nice facilty. Exercise classes available for all ages. Weights, locker rooms and pool. Open seven days a week.
Been coming here for about a year now. My family joined and we've used the gym, the team sports for kids and plan to have the youngest kid take swim lessons. The coaches are really nice. I appreciate all they do for the kids.
