What Parents Say
This YMCA facility receives mostly positive feedback for its clean facilities, friendly staff, and affordable pricing. Members appreciate the variety of equipment, heated pool, and classes available. However, some concerns exist about facility maintenance issues, limited locker room showers, and scheduling conflicts for basketball court access.
Like all non-profits, the YMCA isn’t perfect. However, today the heat wasn’t working in the lobby and the pool room was having HVAC problems. The girl at the front desk did a phenomenal job. She was kind and professional when everything was going down. Obviously none of this was her fault but she was very sincere and understanding. The locker room smells a bit moldy, but I’ve never really been in one that doesn’t. So no major complaints
This is a really difficult gym. They have limited time reserved for the gym and they allow adults at the same time as teens on a half court. The adults play pick up basketball, force the girls or younger people out and so there is even less time allowed. The guy at the front desk usually sympathies and offer “weekend times” except, the adults use it too at that time and so you get a membership and can’t use the gym. The don’t care about young women except when they use cardio machines. It’s really geared toward men and young boys, and young girls have zero support and it stinks.
Now the YMCA has removed the steam sauna. That was one of the reasons I bought the subscription. An important recovery process after a workout and a swimming pool is steam sauna. Older people always use it. You have a cold corridor in winter after the pool. Now people will get sick and freeze more. Your decisions are very terrible for the Clints. Give a comment to those who agree with me. The locker room was closed all summer and you did such a terrible job. We have two chairs instead steam.
It’s an okay YMCA. It would be better if they had more stationary bikes on the 3rd floor. They only have 2 and 1 of them has been broken for months with no sign of them fixing it anytime soon.
Hours are horrible, no steam room, no tennis court, super old facility, crowded and small strength room, and charges full price as other Ys
