Kids are unsafe in these school-based YMCA operated programs. There is little supervision. Severely inappropriate behavior by some goes completely unnoticed by the counselors. Even after I’d reported an incident there was no communication to the counselors of what had occurred to prevent repetition. The protocols they’d implemented as preventative measures were quickly abandoned just 2 weeks later. The school claimed no responsibility because it’s technically a YMCA operation and YMCA was quite uninterested and dismissive. Completely disturbing experience. I would NEVER recommend this organization if you want your children to actually be supervised and maintained safe from predators.
