Ymca Mckinley School Age Program

I kept my children enrolled in this after-school program far longer than I should have simply because it was always open and there are very limited options for older kids. Looking back, I regret ignoring the many concerns my children shared. They repeatedly told me that the program leaders did not listen to them, spent time on their phones, or stayed in the back room instead of properly supervising the kids. I personally overheard staff having inappropriate conversations about events and discussing personal topics in front of the children. My kids also came home describing adult conversations they had been exposed to, which was extremely concerning. Unfortunately, the environment was not safe for my children. They experienced severe bullying and were physically harmed. When my child tried to remove themselves from situations that made them uncomfortable, staff responded by physically intervening — pulling them and forcing them into a room. In another instance, after my child was physically harmed by another child and attempted to defend themselves, staff again used physical force and shoved them into a room. If you’re looking for a program that is often open but lacks organization, supervision, and strong leadership, this may meet your needs. However, if you want a safe, supportive environment where children are protected, listened to, and properly supervised, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Please listen to your children and advocate for them. I would not recommend this program to any family.

FRAUDULENT BILLING! They charged my checking account $150 for a membership we haven't had in years.I called the day after it posted and they blamed it on a new system and said id be issued a refund in two weeks.Guess they forgot.I needed to pay upfront for my kids to participate when they were little.looks like it doesn't work both ways. Anyway..go elsewhere..don't start....they'll still be able to bill you long after you've left. Over a year later and they just charged me $3, not that big of deal. But an employee of the "Y" decided to buy a "pop" and was able to bill my account(the new system doesn't allow old accounts to be removed). I called a week ago and they still wont correct this charge.Wow One last Edit..2 months later. So although they said they cannot remove my account, they can only take money from it.They also said they cannot credit my account 3 dollars.

The only gym I'd recommend in the Fargo Moorhead Area!

I just joined this gym again. I highly recommend the yoga class and the swimming pool. They also have a basketball court upstairs and a tennis area. Great place for people who have odd hobbies that no one likes. There is like a noon lunch for seniors only and morning coffee for after doing your workout Try them out staff not that bad either

I love this place and the staff is great. Very attentive and courteous people. The facility is great, there's so many things to do here. The gym is great for a workout, not too many people so you can get that work in.
