What Parents Say
This YMCA facility receives highly polarized reviews. Positive reviews praise flexible hours ideal for Disney Cast members, good developmental outcomes, and caring staff, while negative reviews report serious concerns including expulsion of children with developmental delays, unprofessional staff conduct, billing issues, and inadequate basic care standards.
This daycare expelled my 3-year-old child due to developmental delays. I attended meetings with the director and behavior specialist and clearly explained that I was actively working with our insurance provider. Step Up funding was in process, and therapy services were nearly finalized. I requested just one short week to confirm the final plan and ensure proper support was in place. Two days later, during pickup, I was asked when my child would be leaving the center. I was informed that another child receiving ABA therapy had been considered “too disruptive,” and I was advised to move my child to a different school. Throughout this process, decisions appeared to be based on subjective judgment rather than a documented plan, formal evaluation, or collaborative discussion. There was no clear written policy presented explaining why my child could not remain enrolled during this short transition period. Shortly after, I received an email requesting another meeting. I explained that I was actively making calls and would follow up as soon as I had confirmation. I also requested written documentation explaining why my child could not remain enrolled, as this documentation was necessary for medical and FMLA purposes. Instead of collaboration, I received an email one week later stating January 30, 2026 that my child no longer had access to the center. I try to requests for a few additional days to arrange a transition were ignored. Communication became restricted. Staff were instructed not to speak with me, and I was directed to one administrator whose calls went directly to voicemail without response. There was no transition plan, no temporary accommodation, and no meaningful effort to work together toward a solution. Parents of children with developmental delays should be aware that this center responds with exclusion rather than support.
My son is three years old. They are a teacher there substitute she’s one of the teachers there happen to be in my son class room my son Teacher was absent at that day and all the kids. All the kids were out of control and playing which each other understand kids to play however the teacher point out to my son ,only three years old they all were playing ,saying that he’s Books on the floor in the ground so so off when I had to come pick them up however I have talked to my son. I told him don’t do that anymore because they were kids. They were just playing so I’m not gonna and I’ll beat my kids for that reason she was hoping for me to do something but I had talked to my son and I told him don’t ever do that again however now I’m seeing the teacher in the hallway she happened to not to be teaching anymore now she’s at front desk. She’s giving me dirty look for some reason and she’s one of the person on front desk she’s pregnant. I describe her a Caucasian lady. I think she’s in the one feel she shouldn’t be in educational System. I feel very uncomfortable to have my son there for her to be around. I would not recommend anyone to go there.
I had my 8-year-old Grandson there for about 10 -15 days I thought they would've done more with the kids..not much activity.. Just arts and crafts most of the time.. and the was supposed to be a summer camp.. but it felt more like babysitting..
I have a very bad experience with that daycare the staff is not professional specially the behavior specialist. Their doesn’t care about you and your child.
They steal your money. If you have direct deposit, they take money up to three times a week. There are no professional teachers, only inexperienced assistants. If your baby needs diaper cream, they don’t apply it, leaving your baby irritated and in pain. They don’t give them water, so they’re constantly dehydrated. They don’t inform you when they’re sick. If you bring this up to the director, she doesn’t care, and the assistants continue doing the same thing. They don’t pay attention to the children’s nutrition. They don’t care if they eat or not, if they’re clean, or if they’ve washed their hands and face. Terrible care and commitment.
