I had a concerning experience at Limestone Family YMCA Child Care on 09/25/2024. Upon dropping off my daughter, I was alarmed to find a lack of staff presence at the front desk and in her designated room. I had to walk her to a different room without any guidance, which was unsettling, especially with the number of children present. Throughout the day, I expected to receive updates on her activities via the daycare app, but I found myself needing to prompt the staff for information. Effective communication is crucial for parents, and I was left feeling anxious about her care. When I picked her up, although there were staff members present, no one verified my identity as I was told would happen. Additionally, when we got home, I noticed my daughter’s skin was irritated and red, and she expressed discomfort. If any products were applied, I believe I should have been informed. Due to these concerns, I will not be bringing my child back. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in communication, supervision, and safety protocols for the benefit of all the children in care.
Very well run, in my experience always very clean. They do have weird hours, although they are easy to work around. There are classes and schedules made for activities for members. My mom and I did a step class here, and it was an amazing workout. The lady running it was really cool, fun, and motivating. I definitely recommend this place for swimming, walking, working out, etc. Update - still really well ran, I come here with my friends and mom all of the time to swim. I really enjoy it, it's really nice and clean. Sometimes the water is groggy or foggy, I guess? However, it hasn't happened in a few weeks, so I'm not sure.
Pool was filthy, and freezing. The stairs were so brown and the pool bottom looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Jacuzzi was out of service. Went to the pool a lot last winter, quality has definitely decreased.
Staff is friendly. The fellow members are lovely. Locker rooms are spacious and clean. Pool is great. Cant wait to experiance the rest!!!
So my fiance loves her mermaid tail, shes been swimming with it since she was little. We just recently got a membership here, and 3 months later they just now decided to tell her no mermaid tails in the pool. I`m very disappointed, i called the manager,and she told me it has to do with the insurance policy. like what insurance policy?? When she was swimming with the tail the little kids loved it, and it made her happy. She was very devastated. WE ARE DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE.
