KEEP YOUR CHILD AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I signed my son up to participate in the YMCA’s youth basketball league. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible. At this particular location, nothing is organized. The first day of practice no one knew who was coaching the team and practice got rescheduled. At the first game, the coached never showed forcing someone else to step in who had no knowledge of the players. The receptionist at the front desk never knew what was going on at the facility and communicated incorrect information. Save your money and save your time. It’s not worth the headache. Update: All in all I have since seen improvement at this location. Still not perfect but they are making strides.

I’m typing this on an alternative account due to the fact I’m going to maintain my membership out of sheer convenience. I AM not a bot or troll I am a paying member under the age of 21. I’ve been going to this exact YMCA for about 7 summers now and these past 2 years have been horrendous. I go in around 7:30PM three to five times a week, and everytime I’m reminded by a clearly high worker that “we close at 8:50” but it clearly states 9pm everywhere. Somehow this notion has been constant EVERYDAY even on weekends when I enter at 2:30 during the 4pm closing time. But that is just the tiniest issue. Before I turned 16, I remember not being allowed in the gym area at all, now whenever I workout, there are little kids (under the age of 10 presumably) running around with weights and barbells while their guardians are in the basketball courts room down the hall. All while the 3 current workers stay infront chatting. I’ve had to cut sets short because I was scared of these kids dropping weights on my feet. Also the sauna has never failed to disappoint, from naked men 4 years ago (in a locker area shared by minors) to faulty equipment. 80% of the time these lazy teenage workers will shut the sauna down by 8:45Pm. Again the YMCA closes at 9Pm. BUT in the instances that it’s not closed, the heater isn’t even on. Insane considering I pay 30+ dollars a month for a membership. Aside from these 3 major issues of sheer laziness and disregard of their responsibilities from staff, the machines are all faulty and missing pins, 90% of the basketballs have no air, free weights and treadmills are the only good thing in this gym. To end this off I’ve noticed most of the 4+ star ratings are from people above the age of 40 who primarily use the yoga room, which is flooding this horrible location with good reviews. I’m the first young person to have cared enough to write a review before ultimately switching gyms, and trust me within my 7+ years of on and off memberships I’ve heard plenty people complain and leave. (ADDING A PHOTO as proof of membership to hope a corporate member takes this rating seriously.)

I have no idea how this place is still open. To overly priced memberships and horrible management this YMCA should get zero stars. They constantly change the rules whenever it’s convenient for them. On July 23, 2025 they call themselves closing the basketball gym to those who are 17 years & younger due to “constant insubordination”. How is it legal to close a gym to paying customers because of the staff’s inability to hold the right person accountable?

Everyone there is so pleasant to be around and it is a family.,Friendly atmosphere, from the coaches to the members. I have been to many ymca and this one is the best by far.

I don’t like the machines here and feels super claustrophobic, there’s one machine of everything and it’s inconvenient when it’s busy. I wish the layout was better and more machines added. The staff is always nice at least
