Ymca Child Development Center

I enrolled my child at this center after being a treating therapist. Having access to any daycare is always a plus, but it also allows you to see the behind the scenes that Many parents don’t get access to ( and I have seen a lot!) From day one after seeing how all of the providers knew the children’s names from all ages, the cleanliness, and the supportive learning environment. It was my first choice and I was thankful they had a space for her. I truly never have a worry during the day knowing she is there. Every single teacher is amazing but I have to give lots of credit to the director Miss. Lisa , the staff is incredible because she fosters an environment to make everyone enjoy their jobs. Super praise to Miss. Cathy as well because my baby loves her and she’s a very dramatic baby 😂

Excellent Elizabeth location daycare! My niece started in October 2022 and we have seen a tremendous growth within her vocabulary, mobility and social skills . During the first visit the classroom teacher Shakimah shared the daily routine and samples of the curriculum that are covered . She was very informative and answered all my questions. There are several teachers to each classroom so everyone has help . Everyone is very nice and location is kept very clean . Parents are provided with a daily report on what the curriculum was for the day , food log , and restroom schedule. Everyone is extremely helpful. The Director Lisa and Associate Director Lina are great to work with and will walk you through the registration process, which is straight forward. I highly recommend visiting!

I don't know what these parents were talking about but I loved the Y when my child went to school there. He was there for four years and never once did my child have an issue. Of course he received colds and scratches just like the other little ones but that's expected from a daycare where they are around other children. The teachers there treated my child and all of their students with love and respect. My son learned so much during his time there. The only problem I had with the center would be the high turnover rate for the teachers. My son had three teachers when he went to the blue room in six months before he went to public shcool. It's a shame. If its pay, then the higher ups need to give the dedicated staff there a raise and keep the good teachers put! I would hate to see this Y go down the drain especially when my son and I had such great memories.

Worst daycare, they never tell you the truth , they try to hide any accident would happen to your child, you should figured out by yourself , the morning staff never coordinate with evening staff. So you never get the clear information about your child. I have seen the advisors screaming on toddlers, they are sitting most of the time. I felt so bad my toddler spent so much hard time in there, he got so sick with food poisoning. Never recommend, every one speaks Spanish, if you don't know Spanish then you are not in a good communication with them.

I love this place! From the moment I took a tour I felt like this would be my childs second home. I can tell that the staff really cares about every child, even if the child is not their student. The JJC has done so much for me. I feel that by the time my child is old enough for first grade he will be more then ready, he will be confident and happy and that means a lot to me as a single mom. If you are looking for a preschool that you can drop your child off at and not worry while your at work ... this is the place to be. I told my friends and now 4 of us are here. We are like a little family... a home away from home. : )
