What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise YMCA Child Care in Meadville for its quality programs and caring staff. The facility is particularly noted for gymnastics, ninja warrior, adaptive sports, and swimming offerings. Childcare workers effectively comfort young children during drop-off and pick-up.
If I could rate this place 0 stars for child care I absolutely would. If a child is sick they let them stay. If a child has pink eye they let them stay. If a child has HFM they let them stay. If one child is sick THEY PUT ALL OTHER KIDS AT RISK. This is absolutely unacceptable. Proper hand washing and cleaning are NOT used. Baby wipes are not the cure all. PROPER HYGIENE NEEDS TO BE IMPLEMENTED.
I truly appreciate the programs offered at the YMCA. Ms. Alivia, who teaches all the classes, consistently demonstrates kindness and maintains a cheerful demeanor. She always prioritizes the happiness of the children and encourages them to reach their full potential. I am very pleased with the experience and everything they offer! They also provide a child watch service during workout sessions, which is a wonderful benefit.
Nice.Good people, noble purpose. Not the fanciest gym ,BUT THIS YMCA HAS THE BEST YMCA GYM EVER. The Y has gym equipment upstairs and downstairs and the downstairs is OUTSTANDING , it was made to SUCCEED in weightlifting.Very wholesome environment
The YMCA has been a tremendous supporter of the special needs community. My son has been involved in the Adaptive programs for a few years. He loves them. He has done Adaptive indoor and outdoor soccer, floor hockey, gymnastics, and athletics. The staff is so open to any suggestions parents have for the programs and allow parents to participate with the children, if needed. I highly recommend the Adaptive sports!
The weight room is pretty good and the employees are definitely really good in my opinion due to them always making sure everyone is signed in or payed.
