Ymca Child Care Center

By far the worst daycare center ever! If you love your kids do not send them here! They feed the kids the bare minimum and mostly frozen unhealthy things! Not to mention they don’t correct the behavior of the bad kids! My son started coming home angry and with behavioral issues that he learned and they just laugh about it. It was several occasions I came and my son smelled of poop and I had to ask them to change him. And it was dried on him so it was in there for awhile. The place is not very clean! Every other week it’s a email going home about another disease or case of Hand foot mouth! And that’s due to kids having snotty nosey that run and also crusty noses that they don’t clean. They take the kids outside and don’t have the coats zipped up or any hats on them. Not to mention they have a Facebook page that they don’t upload photos of the toddlers! I had to make multiple complaints about it before they started uploading once a month! This is the only way to see how our kids are doing and they don’t do their part! They barely teach them anything as it’s no real curriculum outlined! They often times email the day of care and ask us to keep our kids home due to them not having enough staff for the day. But they want to still charge us! What kind of daycare doesn’t have coverage that many times? Which brings me to my last point! They do yearly price increases and nothing changes with the care! They don’t give any discounts or monthly promotions or deals or anything! And when I asked what changes and what do we get more of with the price increase they said nothing! Every year we will increase the price! My son has been at his new place for about a month now and he has learned so much in that time from the 8 months he was here. He knows colors! Shapes! And new words! Eats fresh fruit from the garden and food that they cook! He is always happy and smiling coming and going! DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!

We have been attending Oak Park YMCA Early Learning Center since September 2022. Both of our younger kids have started in the infant room and the oldest has moved up through, to pre-k. The staff persons in all rooms have been very attentive and loving through all stages of the children's development and we have had no complaints with the teachers, policies, procedures, or the facility as a whole. Both kids love everyone they've come in contact with and it truly feels like an extension of family. I'm so glad that we're participating in childcare here, during very important developmental ages.

Both of our children have attended daycare at the Oak Park YMCA Center and we are very happy with the care they have received! The teachers are warm and loving to the children, and there is a good staff-student ratio. They are very organized and the communication with families is excellent. I also really like that they offer part-time care, as I only work out of the house part time. The Oak Park Center has been a wonderful fit for our family!

My son and I have loved our experience here! The staff are kind and considerate and make each day fun and educational. My son has learned so much - from math, to writing/spelling, to social skills, etc. He adores his teachers and his daily routine. Their competence and care have made me confident and comfortable leaving him in their hands.

Staff has been great with my kiddo! They are patient, understanding when it comes to schedule changes, behavioral concerns, etc, and take good care of the kids. They communicate when my child is struggling more than usual, and are good about communicating injuries/accidents. I’ve had my child in other daycares and this has definitely been the best out of the 3 I’ve chosen.
