What Parents Say
YAI/NYL Clearview Annex is a special needs daycare center in Hollis, NY that receives predominantly positive reviews praising its clean facilities, therapeutic programs, and dedicated staff who help children with behavioral and learning improvements. However, one parent reported serious concerns about unprofessional handling of behavioral issues and inappropriate discipline methods, while another criticized staff communication.
The school is neat and clean. It has big classrooms with lot of toys, all therapeutic class include in individual educational program. Spacious indoor and outdoor playgrounds. Every kid takes time to get through what they are. But lot of improvement in kids behavior and talk. I really recommend this school for child with special care
This school is truly the best for special needs students. I feel so lucky to have had the most amazing teacher for my son, Ms Maclynn along with the wonderful assistant teachers Mr. Marvin and Ms. Sarah. I also want to give a special mention to our kind and caring bus driver, Tino. Ms. Maclynn worked magic with my son, who never liked going anywhere without me, started loving school after just his couple of weeks with her. She was incredibly professional, communicative, and always went above and beyond for her students. Under her guidance, my son improved so much, both in learning and in confidence. I truly love this school and every single staff member here. They made such a positive difference in my child’s life, and I will miss them dearly.
That school is not as good as the reviews. I am highly doubt in their professionalism. My son did not have any improvement and even got worse. When my son had behavioral problem, the teacher will ask us to take him home instead to figure out what’s going on as a profession. The only solution they used was put a weight jack on my son a three year old. To force him not to move around freely. One time they even asked us to pick up my son in 30 minutes, or they will call the police otherwise. LOL. The worst was School nurse who asked us pick up our son with a few cough and running nose during pandemic. Even the doctor said that was ridiculous. I am regret that I sent my son to this school.
This school is awesome. My son loves his teacher and his therapist. They went above and beyond for my boy. They addressed all my concerns and fears especially when my son had problems adjusting. My boy has improved tremendously since starting clearview
Service coordinator clear view NYL flushing is so bad n her name is Branda, the way she speaks to parent very bossy n demanding. I like more the cathireen the way she speaks so well n deal with parents convincely. Cathireen is much better than her n she can do the service coordinator. I would give one star because of bad experienced with her.
