What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Y Learning Center's Early Learning Center for its caring, dedicated staff and clean, safe facility. The center emphasizes early childhood education through engaging activities and maintains excellent communication with families. Multiple reviewers note significant developmental progress in their children and describe the staff as family-like in their commitment.
Putting our son in the Early Learning Center was the best decision we could have made for him, and us too. Everyone there is so nice and their communication is amazing. Everything is always so clean! The kiddos are always learning through fun activities. Our son’s speech has greatly improved and we are shocked at everything he has learned in the five months he has been attending.
Can not say enough good things about this facility. My daughter absolutely loved her teacher and the other educators at the facility. The curriculum is fantastic, the children are well taken care of and learn so much. I am so thankful we found such a terrific preschool. I highly recommend the Early Learning Center to anyone looking for an affordable, safe and educational option for preschool.
I can’t say enough positive things about the YMCA ELC. Mrs. Gwen, director, goes above and beyond for the families. She always keeps the working families in mind so that no matter what incident (weather, unplanned maintenance) may occur, there’s always child care. She’s great with communication as well, always responding to emails and calls within a couple hours. The facility is clean and we always feel welcomed upon arrival. The door is locked and only allows entrance via code so safety is a big priority. The staff is always hands on with the kids, giving each kid adequate attention and care. They really seem more like family than child care workers. Their job is hard and they never complain or let the hard days get them down. I really commend them for their overall dedication and can-do attitudes. I moved and therefore had to unenroll my youngest child due to the commute it would’ve imposed. It was definitely a hard decision because this really has been a God send for families in the Rockbridge area.
My daughter has been going to the Early Learning Center since two years old, she is now four. She has grown so much at this facility. She has learned the alphabet, numbers, counting, writing her name, learning the seasons, days of the week and months, and so much more. She loves going every day. It is a safe environment and the staff is so loving and caring. They take care of my daughter like she is their own. They have become family to us.
I volunteer at the ELC & thoroughly enjoy reading to students & staff alike. The students are delightful & engaging. The staff supportive and so knowledgeable about the children in their care. I am impressed with the activities afforded to children attending ELC: visits from the local fire department & a baby calf on farm animal day, trunk or treating on Halloween, creative movement, crafts & story time. The Early Learning Center @ The Y has much to offer the youngest citizens of our community.
