I was debating on whether or not to leave this review. When my son started here in August he absolutely loved it! I signed him up because they said they would work with his IEP since they have a contract with EI and have therapists in house. My son was doing amazing but somehow towards the end of the year he started having some odd behaviors. One of them being biting which I’ve never seen him do. And I promise that I can respectfully admit when he would have behaviors but these weren’t the ones I was used to. Usually it was elopement or redirection. He’s not necessarily aggressive but he used to throw things only when people would raise their voice at him and I noticed it started happening in the school. I don’t want to throw accusations towards the teachers and say they were yelling but I know my son and I know this is how he reacts when this would happen. On his last week somehow he had a biting incident. They gave me a warning that one more time and he would be “suspended”. And then he managed “to do it again” the very next day. It felt off. It felt fabricated and intentional to kick him out. And on top of it I found out they weren’t even working with his IEP because he wasn’t placed “through assignment” but because of my choice. Whatever that means. They asked me to pick him up and in the same breathe hit me with a final bill (over 4K) to pay up before he returns. Dealing with Nina was awful. I felt gaslit into thinking they were “working with me” to pay this bill but she kept threatening to send it to collections. I had to leave my job to stay home with my son and her consistent threat was making my mental health spiral until we finally decided to swipe a credit card to get her out of our lives. To WVCA - please hire someone who’s equipped with empathy and has better customer service because this current director is not it.

My children went here. So unprofessional. Nina was honestly disgusting to deal with. She outcasted my children constantly and harassed me when walking to my car. I told her on a Thursday that my kids would no longer attend the after care program and the following day she made my kids sit in her office until I picked them up trying to tell me I cancelled aftercare when that wasnt the case for that day, it was supposed to start that following Monday. She was rude to both of my kids and constantly sent them home. My final straw was her telling me my child could not return the next day unless I paid the Kindergarten tuition ($5,000) in full when I was told a month prior he received a full scholarship!

The staff is NOT professional at all. The teachers don't explain anything or follow the children's IEP plans. Nina the director won't even give my son his clothes back. Very unprofessional state needs to look into the staff they have working there. They got funding from covid relief from the county but does not show in the school. Where did the money go? Nina can't even answer the phone politely. She is straight up rude all the time to everyone. No wonder why they can't keep the good teachers there

My Son went to WVCA for pre kindergarten, the staff was wonderful and he was very prepared for Kindergarten. They go above and beyond to help the kids with special needs.
