Wonderful experience for a baby/toddler! Amazing selection of parents & baby classes including baby gymsters, baby swim, and fun family activities. We have been a part of other YMCAs in the area and this location is our favorite! Yes the swim schedules for free swim might be a bit limited, but if your schedule allows flexibility- highly recommend! Also the spring lake in the summer is my baby/toddler’s favorite! She loves seeing the campers and big kids swim and splash around. We love the ease of the changing table in the bathhouse and of course, delicious fruits for the summer! It’s truly a perfect beach escape for a parent & baby especially when 2 hours might be as much time as we can get in. Very convenient to have a cool off area, shady grass area, and local gym to cool down during those hot days.
The only reason why I joined this gym was for their new, heated pool. However, a regular working person seems to be the least valuable customer and the last person they think of. Their schedule for lap swimming is absolutely unacceptable. I have to adjust my entire life around the available hours and many times it is inconvenient and incredibly short. And then they also change it every several times each season!
My experience at the Wyckoff YMCA is outstanding!!! The staff are very polite and respectful to me especially Jerry, Shannon, Peyton, Ashlyn, Patti, Jared, Brian, Dennis, and Kyle. I usually attend dinner-chat and let's reconnect on Friday nights at the Wyckoff YMCA and I love it!!! I usually eat 3 slices of pizza and 2 Caesar Salads and then talk to Shannon and give her a hug cause she loves having me at the YMCA. I love the Wyckoff YMCA!!!!
Very warm & welcoming place with great workout classes that can be easily adapted for those of us who are older & may have sports injuries from our younger days. I just love it!
I would be very careful when signing up for swim classes. The instructor was great, however my daughter's swim class was abruptly shortened by a week due to solar panel construction. I immediately (same day) sent a response email that I wished for my tuition given back for the week they were offering to refund. It is now 5 weeks later and no refund. I keep being told different things (it was sent out in the mail Monday, then it was sent out Tuesday, oh we are looking into this, etc). I live the next town over and it is now 5 days later from Monday and 4 days later from Tuesday with NO REFUND that should have come weeks ago when I received the original email on August 8th and responded that same day. I am extremely disappointed as I was going to sign my daughter up for private lessons, but how can I trust my money? Real shame.
