I am going to put an honest review here because I couldn’t find one personally. At Hiawatha Hall, it is hard to find a staff member that acts professionally and/or understands what’s truly going on. During my stay here, I had to pay for my own food (outside of dinner), my own personal hygiene items, and anything extra I needed. They do not share their wifi password(s), so if you don’t have mobile data, good luck completing anything personal online. There isn’t a whole lot of structure either. There are three scheduled groups, one in the morning, one around noon, and one right after dinner. If you ask a question about visiting hours, you won’t get a straight answer (I found that it’s best from 1pm-5pm). You are allowed to leave after you “level up”, but again on limited hours and only specific times during the day. While I was in treatment at this facility, there was an incident with another client. This client had an outburst and destroyed property and harmed themselves. The staff swept this under the rug and there were no repercussions for this client due to their actions. After myself and the other clients voiced our concerns about our personal safety having this client still around, the staff member made inappropriate jokes trying to disregard our concerns and lighten the mood. Overall, I do not see how this specific home can assist one's mental well being and I would recommend finding treatment elsewhere if you truly want any hope of getting better.

The people who work here, are really some of the greatest people you will meet. They truly do care about you, and help you so much. You literally become like family when you get here. They have helped me more then any places I've ever been to. If your looking for help, this place is the right place to be! 😊 To help you grow, learn coping skills, new hobbies, and to find who you truly are again. 😊 I am very grateful to of been a client from hiawatha hall!

I was not given choices for which professional we went to. The professional they assigned was not cooperative or understanding of the specific need and was unwilling to help have that need met. I found them to be unprofessional.
