What a lovely space and theater. We saw a documentary on the Vietnam War about refugees that made it to Philadelphia. They then were underfunded and left to the wolves. Pitted against black neighborhoods to prop up poor, white neighborhoods did not help either. It was a lovely film. Annnd... there was delicious and nutritious food afterwards. Check this cultural center out.
This culture center has many events for the community to attend, classes on Asian folk dances, information on health services, activities for children, etc. I love this place for all they have to offer to the community. It is where I share my childhood memories of Oakland Chinatown.

This center does a lot for all of Oakland. It has been THE place for community events, such as the recent Oakland Mayoral debate this fall. It also puts on all kinds of displays, school visits, and is available for special events.
Very cool place to hold events and attend events. I can't wait to visit again. Very friendly staff too!
