Our daughter has been going there for almost a year and we've always had a good experience there. Any questions or concerns we have are met with courtesy and understanding - being a new parent can be a bit overwhelming so it helps not to have to stress out over x,y, or z. We can only speak to the infant room, but I will say the toddler and "older" kids rooms always seem happy. The teachers in the infant room are great for our daughter. Everyday there is a little "break-down" of what they did and how our daughter acted. They track any change of diapers so you can see when they had a bm or wet diaper. But overall, they really do see to care for the babies. Most of the babies I've seen, including our daughter, seem to really like the teachers and enjoy being with them for 8 hours a day. Speaking for our daughter only - she had some issues sleeping, and they worked with us to tweak her napping time so we could get her some much needed rest during the day. They have activities planned most days and send pictures when its something particularity cute or exciting :). They are very flexible with scheduling. We send our daughter 4 days a week and very occasionally have to switch up days, and they're totally accommodating. Overall, we've had a very positive experience here.

My son attended Woodview Terrace Montessori (WTM) during the 2017-2018 school year and my daughter continues to attend. My son was in the preschool class and my daughter is now moving from the toddler class to the preschool class. My son will start kindergarten this fall. Prior to WTM, our children attended another nearby daycare center since the age of 3 months old, but we felt the need to try a different environment after hearing great things about the Montessori method of education. Based on the recommendation of a neighbor, who sent her children to WTM, we made the switch. We have been delighted that we did, but we wish we would have made the switch sooner. WTM has been a fantastic environment for our children. We love the range of ages in the preschool, which provides an environment for the younger children to learn from the older children. It also gives the older children an opportunity to help the other younger children. The teachers have been amazing with long tenures and low staff turnover. WTM does a great job communicating with parents and problem solving through all challenges (e.g., behavior, potty training, etc.). Our daughter continues to love attending WTM and is excited to join the preschool class. Overall, it has been a great experience and we would highly recommend WTM. Thanks to all the WTM teachers and leadership for making the experience great for our kids!

The director Tammy is very unprofessional! Picking up the phone and hanging up on parents, as well as keeping the phone off the hook is extremely unsafe. Imagine being a parent not being able to get a hold of your child care provider; because the director decided to keep the phone off the hook!!! That raises major safety concerns. The way Susan one of the lead teachers was speaking about another child and their “behaviors” was concerning as well.

We wouldn’t trust anybody else with our daughters care! Nothing but love and amazing knowledge comes from WTM and that is a huge reason why we tell everybody about it. Our daughter has learned so much more than we could ever teach her on our own and the teachers have been a huge help in guiding us through everything since we are first time parents. Can’t speak highly enough!

I was a student here back in 1992-1994 (~ 3-4 years old) and I believe it has been a driving force in my life. I remember being an exceptional student but I believe I was exceptional because I had the room to grow. I believe that if I had been elsewhere, I wouldn't have learned as much. My memory of the place includes naptime (I rarely napped), events with some people that represented fire and ice, game days, field trips, learning to count (and being introduced to multiplication), learning to read (basic phonics type books), and playing on an indoor jungle gym. After Woodview, I went to Middleton Elementry, Lake Jr. High, Woodbury High School, Winona State University, and am currently in Kansas State getting my masters in statistics. My brother is an undergraduate student studying engineering, and I have three friends that went to Woodview that I have some contact with. One is finishing up his Ph.D in engineering and the other two have graduated from highschool before going on to getting jobs. I believe that the five of us were considered to be advanced students but also trouble makers. The three friends went to different schools after Woodview. Something I also believe played a role in my education, is going to summer classes at the Science Museum. Something I want to teach my kids early on is programming. There are classes at the Science Museum (I believe) that focus on this and I think it will help them, not only with understanding computers, but also with understanding logical statements. Notice: The success of our group should not be taken as typical as we were not randomly selected and we are certainly not independent of each other so take this sampling with caution. Additionally, this was about 20 years ago so things may have changed.
