If you’re into a church that has a pastor on a blurry screen rather than on the stage with you, this church is for you. Maybe we came on a bad weekend but our first time visiting, they had a special speaker who was more articulate than the pastor who was supposed to be leading the talk. God wasn’t even mentioned within the first 20 minutes of their talk and the talk was about 40 minutes long. I didn’t connect with the message at all and my 15 year old was literally falling asleep which she has never done at church before. Some other things I noted as a first timer: No coffee or refreshments for the community. I asked who I’m assuming is a volunteer because she had a name tag on and she said the coffee is only for volunteers but did offer to grab me a cup. She did also offer to walk us to the auditorium which was nice. No welcoming for first timers so it was very confusing where to park at this huge church and where to go in. We had to reach out to people for every answer we needed. It would’ve been nice to have an area first timers can go and get all the info. Overall, not super welcoming. Not engaging. Felt like a cattle in a herd. And it took 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot once the service was over. Will not attend again.
I am incredibly grateful to WCC. My small groups prayed over my last pregnancy. Women's leaders would reach out and ask for ways to pray for us before the conferences. They're very intentional. Our pastor has made lessons easy to relate with for my husband. There are so many opportunities to serve, volunteer or learn and make a huge church feel like a small family. You're welcome here. You're wanted here! If you're trying to find a church to join or just one to visit, I'd be happy to meet and sit with you in service.
Best church I have been to, don't listen to the negative comments. You attend a big church and you are expecting the speakers to not be loud
Church is unique live sometimes they have remote Preacher. They have Christian Rock bands. They even have many programs for k-8, singles and newcomers. First Steps is a program that I really enjoyed learning more about the Bible and Christ.
The best church and pastor. I always feel refreshed. And closer to God. The worship is absolutely beautiful.
