We have been blessed to have our kids be a part of Whittier Christian Schools since 2007. They have all received an excellent education in a Christ centered school. The administrators are professional and committed to making the school a great place for students and teachers. The education standards are high and the curriculum is rigorous, and at times our kids do struggle. But the teachers are very good and come along side our kids and help them achieve at a high level. There are so many good teachers at this school. It grieved me to see a review, written under a name I assume is a pseudonym, call out Mrs. Greiner as being anything other than one of the finest teachers a child could ever have, or a parent could ever want for a their child. We have had two kids with Mrs. Greiner and, Lord willing, will have a third child with her next year. Our kids have thrived and achieved well with Mrs. Greiner. More importantly, she loves and Lord and points our kids towards Him.
Whittier Christian used to be a good school for my children. Unfortunatly they have been bought out by a company called Carnegy. The two elementary schools were combined into one campus and my children no longer enjoy their experiance. A couple of qualified teachers have left the school and the ones left have questionable ethics/qualifications. There is a different attatude at Whittier Christian now, no art classes and the teachers have a gossip problem thats passes negativity around to other teachers and moms if your child begains to act up especially with Mrs Greiner (you've been warned)... we are looking into other schools for our boy for 5th grade.
My granddaughter attends WCS Maybrook and she loves it. We love it too! (mom, dad, & grandparents). The teachers & staff are excellent & we appreciate the teaching techniques that are applied. It's awesome that our granddaughter is also being taught lessons that strengthen her understanding of our faith.
This review is actually for Donna Lister. What she says is false. Whittier Christian School does not spread gossip and Donna Lister is lieing. Mrs. Griener is the best teacher ever!
