We've had a great experience so far! My daughter started in the cottages and has moved over to the infant classrooms. The teachers are very kind and I can tell my daughter is learning so much! The school prioritizes the children and even built them a water/splash pad for them to enjoy! My daughter has the best time there!
I went to WRN back in the early '90s. I remember the horses, watermelons by the barn fence, rollerskating, swimming classes, the BIG trampoline, getting stung by wasps on the little kid playground, having chicken pox! and the only school I've ever attended with pajamas basement party day. Great memories and so glad to see the barn and pool are still serving their purpose
I could not be happier with this institution! My child has learned not only from wonderful teachers in the classroom, but also life skills like swimming! Yes they have their own on-site indoor pool and all children have access not only to organized swim lessons but also regular free swim time. Mine is going into Kinder and is already being prepped for reading (and writing) more complex words. The campus is wonderful and the community is supportive and great. The staff has always been top notch with me. My child has made friends and we've been to lots of classmate birthday parties. The drop-off/pickup procedure runs like clockwork. I do not feel we would be getting an education of this quality at just any public ISD and am immensely grateful for the nurturing and development my child has received.
The private swim lessons were amazing, my 6 year old daughter went from being comfortable wading neck deep and picking things up off the bottom to swimming back and forth across the pools width in 3 days, then the length after 6. Amy is amazing! The consolidated 15 minute 2 week schedule was perfect for my daughters endurance and memory building. I know Amy's program was only a fraction of what my local park district would have cost. This was the best time and money I spent all summer.
My daughter started here in the Corner Cottage for infants a month ago and so far our experience has been great. We receive updates on her progress throughout the day and pictures. All the teachers are kind and we have found the front office to be good at communicating.
