My daughter has now been enrolled at Pillars for 4 months and it has been AMAZING. The daycare she was at prior showed very little coordination and care for growth of the students but it shows everyday how much everyone here at Pillars cares about those. Her communication has improved tremendously, her pronunciation has gotten better, her people and playing skills with the other students and teachers has grown so so much. I could not be more thankful for the staff and environment that the pillars offers.

As a young parent with my first child, trusting someone else with your baby is one of the hardest and most emotional decisions you can make. My daughter just turned 3 and has been enrolled at The Pillars Christian Learning Center since September, and the change in her has been truly life-changing for both of us. Before coming to The Pillars, she spent almost a year at another daycare where there was very little growth. Over time, I watched my happy little girl become more aggressive, very moody, and honestly not herself anymore. I knew something wasn’t right, and when nothing was being done to help her, I made the difficult decision to leave and find better for her. Finding The Pillars was the best decision I could have made. Since starting here, my daughter has completely blossomed. Her speech has improved tremendously—she’s expressing herself more clearly and confidently. Her social skills have grown so much; she’s kinder, more patient, and more comfortable interacting with others. Even her manners and emotional regulation have improved in ways I didn’t think were possible in such a short amount of time. Most importantly, she’s happy again. She’s excited to go to school, excited to see her teachers, and excited to learn. Her teacher is one of the most caring, compassionate, and wonderful women I have ever met, and that care extends to every single member of the staff. From teachers to administration, this center truly feels like a family. From day one, we were welcomed with open arms and genuine love—not just as another enrollment, but as people who matter. The administrative staff has been absolutely incredible: supportive, communicative, and deeply invested in my daughter’s well-being. The communication is top-tier, my daughter is always greeted with warmth and smiles, and I have complete peace of mind knowing she is loved, safe, and cared for every single day. I am endlessly grateful to The Pillars Christian Learning Center for not only helping my daughter grow and thrive, but for making our lives fuller with the love, patience, and dedication they pour into what they do. I truly cannot express how thankful I am to have found this place—for my daughter and for myself.

My kids (4, 8, and 10) have been going here since my oldest was a baby. I love nikkie and the office staff. My son has meltdowns and they can calm him like no other. They go above and beyond to make sure the kids always have fun activities and events the parents are invited to.

Submitting a review for a serious and deeply concerning incident that occurred on December 15, 2025, at the Rowlett Chiesa location, which ultimately led to our immediate decision to withdraw our children from your care. My husband and I enrolled our children, ages 1 and 3 at the time, in March 2025 following our relocation to the area. Prior to this, our family had remained with the same daycare for six years, so this decision was not taken lightly. Unfortunately, ongoing communication challenges and operational concerns culminated in an incident that we believe represents negligent care. On December 15, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., I received a phone call from an assistant director informing me that my daughter—who had recently turned four—had experienced a bathroom accident during nap time several hours earlier. I was told that she had no backup clothes available and that the center did not have any clothing for her to borrow. As a result, staff decided to wrap a towel around her. I was not informed that she would be moved outside or remain in this state for an extended period. I arrived at the center within approximately 20 minutes, expecting to find my daughter in the front office. Instead, I went to her classroom and then outside, where I discovered her playing outdoors in approximately 40-degree weather without pants or a coat. She was wearing only underwear, a shirt, a sweatshirt, shoes, and a hooded towel draped over her head. There were only male teachers present in the outdoor area at the time. While I clothed her, other children made comments questioning why she did not have pants on, which further compounded the distress and embarrassment of the situation. Following this discovery, members of the leadership team expressed that they felt “mortified” and took accountability for what occurred. However, this acknowledgment does not negate the seriousness of the lapse in judgment and supervision that took place. As parents, we work hard to ensure our children are in a safe, respectful, and well-managed environment. This incident, along with prior comments from staff about difficulty keeping up with the children and general operational challenges, left us without confidence in the care being provided. It is particularly alarming given the potential risks that could arise during a real emergency. As a result, we unenrolled our children on December 16, 2025, and returned them to our previous daycare provider. We spoke to the DFW Regional Director who refunded that week’s tuition & ensured us that she would implement better control measures. We are extremely disappointed in the level of care and oversight demonstrated, and we believe this situation reflects a failure to uphold basic standards of child safety, dignity, and supervision. We are submitting this review to ensure there is a formal record of the incident and to strongly urge leadership to review procedures, staff training, supervision protocols, and communication practices to prevent anything like this from happening to another child.
