why does this church and the greater denomination it represents get SO POLITICAL and does not support a baby's right to life, starting in the womb! Instead they openly celebrate sick rituals. DO not go! They only serve a political religion and don't protect the millions of babies who need to be provided for.
I was baptized here, grew up here, was married her and my daughter was baptized here as well. Lots of good memories. Haven't been in years.
I attended Westminster as a child until I graduated from high school and went to college in OK. Westminster was a wood frame building and the pastor was a man named Puffenburger as I recall. The present building was built in the early 50s as I recall. There was a big field behind the church where we played base ball and put pennies on the track of the Cotton Belt Railroad, now the Tollway. No fire and brimstone at Westminster, just acceptance.
I attended Westminster Presbyterian Church as an adolescent in the 60s. Dr. Bennet was our pastor then. I was in the junior choir, and an active Sunday school participant. The highlight of my Sundays was the worship service. I say that because that is where I learned about living the Word of God, and not just memorizing it. I no longer live in the Dallas area, but I will forever have the values that Westminster gave me.
Very nice church which even has a dog park but I attend services elsewhere.
