What Parents Say
Westbay Children's Center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback for its welcoming staff, creative activities, and compassionate teachers. However, one parent reported poor communication and handling of their child's developmental concerns, with no follow-up from management after expressing dissatisfaction.
My son started in this center about two months ago. He was at his previous daycare for just over 2 years. I can’t recommend Westbay enough. The last daycare was ran like a factory so we were anxious to find somewhere new. Westbay’s staff make you feel welcome as soon as you enter the door. They plan such creative activities for the children. We are happy to be part of the Westbay family and look forward to the years to come.
My child's adjustment issues at school were not properly communicated. I was blindsided by a meeting with the lead teacher and her boss, basically telling me my 21 month old has a developmental delay and might not be able to stay. Neither of these women were qualified to diagnose my kid with anything, and I already had EDI engaged and was waiting for an intake to get an actual diagnosis. Even knowing this, they were telling me that if things didn't improve my child would be disenrolled. When I told my boss what happened and showed her screen shots of things said to me about my child, she said she'd support me working from home with my daughter until we could find another daycare, so I withdrew my daughter immediately from Westbay. I emailed a very detailed explanation to the owner of Westbay about what happened. I never heard back from him, nor anyone else at Westbay about how poorly this was handled. So, if your kid is a perfect angel, go for it! My kid is delayed because of persistent ear infections and is getting tubes, that's it. That's the "severe delay" that made it so that no one at Westbay can handle her. So if your kid has any kind of special needs or requires extensive EDI, Westbay doesn't have the resources for your family and I strongly urge you to go elsewhere.
We love Westbay, it's been great for our daughter. Teachers there are well educated and put together great lesson plans, and are very compassionate with the children and communicative with the parents.
The staff and all of the teachers are fantastic! Our child loves it's and always looks forward to going to school.
I love the service and I love the fact that it is smaller of a place that everybody seems like they really care about the children they have a wonderful backyard and good programs for each age level definitely an A-Plus Center
