West Side Academy

Today, I attended a tour at the daycare. While I am uncertain whether the individual who greeted us was the owner or an employee, their demeanor towards my husband and me was not particularly cordial. They left us outside in the sun while they engaged in conversation with another parent. My husband had to inquire if we could enter, as we had children with us. They informed me that there were available rooms at the daycare. However, upon reaching the facility, we discovered that there were no rooms available. It is unclear why we were subjected to a tour only to be informed that there were no rooms available. To save time and effort, I suggest that we consider visiting Pf Sunny, which is located a few blocks away and appears to be more welcoming.

We are incredibly thankful for the care and dedication this preschool has shown toward our son during his time here, from when he was 3 years old until now at age 5. The transformation we’ve seen in him over this period has been truly heartwarming. From the very beginning, the teachers created a warm, engaging, and supportive environment that made him feel safe and excited to learn. Their friendly and patient approach has helped him develop strong communication, social, and learning skills. It’s been wonderful to see how much he has grown — both in confidence and in curiosity — under their guidance. Thank you to all the teachers of WSA.

My kids have been attending Westside Academy since they were two years old. The best thing about Westside Academy is the wonderful staff. They create a nurturing environment for the kids with the utmost care. I've known the staff for the past seven years, and they are some of the most amazing people you'll ever meet. This place is truly a hidden gem. Another great aspect of Westside Academy is its proximity to the WSA light rail station, which is very convenient for parents traveling to the city who want to park nearby. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a loving environment for your growing children.

This is the best daycare we've ever been to. The staff is so kind, caring, and communicative. My 16-month-old had a wonderful time here. I highly recommend this for infants (low ratio, lots of attention)

Went for a tour to enroll my children after finding them on NJ Grow website. Rates were average for the area (2k for babies and 1.5k for toddler). Facility was very clean but outdated. Not much natural lighting. Owner seemed friendly with other families but didn't discuss curriculum or anything with us. She asked a few times how we knew about the location, being a local I have seen this daycare daily. Then when I brought up the NJ grows program she stated she does not accept it but did accept it for an existing family. That's fine. Wish she would remove the facility from the website/ and or mention it prior to coming so that others would not waste time touring. Overall for price, it feels more expensive than other daycare locations. I have been to a few locations with apps and more amenities that are cheaper.
