After touring several preschools, this was immediately our top choice. It was also the furthest from our home, yet we happily made the drive every day because this school felt truly special and one of a kind. The balance of creative and academic activities is so thoughtfully done. Each day is thoroughly designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Ms. Maria, Ms. Beatrice, and Ms. Angela are truly incredible. Their patience, kindness, and genuine love for the children made such a meaningful difference in our son's growth and confidence. They supported him beautifully in his learning and were especially amazing during potty training; always encouraging, gentle, and positive. Watching him thrive in their care has meant everything to us. Ms. Julia brings a level of professionalism, care, and organization that is truly felt throughout the school. She clearly understands how to thoughtfully run a preschool while still maintaining a warm, family like environment. We are endlessly grateful for the love, care, and strong foundation this school has given our son. West Hollywood Children's Academy is truly a gem, and we would recommend it without hesitation to any family looking for the very best preschool experience.
Avoid this school. With so many excellent options nearby, I wouldn’t recommend it. The owner does not lead effectively, staff turnover is extremely high, and children frequently meet new teachers, which is confusing. Discipline methods are concerning: my child was given a "timeout" (denied by staff at first), and other parents confirmed they lie about using them. My younger child even started repeating the word at home. Additionally, some staff behaviors, such as unhealthy habits or inconsistent role modeling, do not set a good example for impressionable children. Overall, high staff turnover, lack of transparency, questionable discipline, and poor role modeling make this a school I cannot recommend.
A great preschool full of great teachers and great kids and families. They have many fun activities and programs that the kids love and they learn a lot thanks to the age appropriate academics. We really lucked out by going here and our kid always walks into school ready to play every morning and comes home excited to tell us what they've learned that day. All the teachers and people who work there do a tremendous job!
Finding affordable and excellent childcare was incredibly stressful, but WHCA has been a true gift to our family. Our child (age 2/3) spent a full year here, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From day one, the teachers were warm, patient, and supportive , especially during the transition to a new school. They helped our child feel safe, brave, and genuinely excited to come each morning. Also great support for potty training! We were impressed by the enriching and thoughtful programming which includes visits from outside educators for dance classes, Spanish lessons, and zoology sessions with real animals! The learning was hands-on, engaging, and age-appropriate. Our child grew quite alot. Another big plus was the great communication. WHCA uses the Brightwheel app to share updates, photos, and messages throughout the day, helping us feel connected even while we were apart. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing what our child was doing, learning, and enjoying in real time. It’s rare to find a preschool that offers such a high level of care, education, and communication, while still being accessible and affordable. WHCA exceeded our expectations in every way and we will miss attending very much. This is a real nurturing, creative environment and highly recommend them to other families!
This little school is the best kept secret in LA. Quality, classic European education that focuses on all the senses with something new every day—dance, art, live animals, foreign languages and amazing interpersonal skills. I looked at many schools and am so glad we picked this one. I really feel like our children are getting an education and socialization in a home-like setting with individualized attention and amazing teachers who actually care about the children like family. We have been here since age 2 and even though our kids now qualify for free school with our district, we’re sticking with WHCA because the quality of their development here is bar none.
