This facility is very unprofessional and I do not recommend, I applied back in November when my child was 3 months to get my daughter in Daycare as my maternity leave was ending in December. I received a call about my application a bit before their winter break from a representative who said she would send me an email about additional and she never did nor never reached back out to me. I called after winter break to follow up about the call that I received from the representative but I ended up speaking to another woman who said she would pass her information to Linda the daycare provider who would then reach out to me in a “few days” I waited several days which turned into two weeks. Why am I being contacted about enrollment and then no one is even calling me back? I then reached out today to see what’s taking so long and the representative gave me the daycare provider’s email which was wrong. I called back to ask for the providers right email and ended up speaking to an another person who was a male who then placed me on hold then hung up. Extremely rude and unprofessional. As I thought maybe possibly it was a mistake I called again just for the call to then get hung up on again. This place is extremely unprofessional. Don’t contact people about enrolling their children in if you aren’t trying to follow up. A waste of time!!

Giving it one star because I can’t even get a call or email back and was told I couldn’t just go to get info in person, that I have to set up an appointment… mind you I only wanted to find out what services they actually offer and how much is the weekly fee …

My daughter started with west Harlem head start last year. Honestly I love this sight and the programs that they offer. It’s so close to home and my daughter loves walking there. Such a friendly place with friendly staff that goes above and beyond to make sure you have all resources for your child and make sure that your up to date with informations and documents you may need to submit for your child. I’ve seen how much my daughter have grown and I’m so happy she had such great people to help her. She will be returning next year which is her last year with them but they have ensured them once you start west Harlem you always will remain there. No matter how old the child is or what school they go to you can always come back if you need anything. They I’ll always welcome you with open arms.

I appreciate west Harlem head start because unlike other places that are involved with children their enrollment process is literally simple and straight forward, no hassle or extra requests needed. They actually work with the parent and seek the have your child attend. They are patient with a parents daily life & they in my opinion are concerned with the child , especially as a single parent they help out tremendously not only with watching child during the day also with useful advice for the family,at times diapers & activities that are geared towards a child's development . Many blessings I hope for head start .
