What Parents Say
West End Temple Nursery School receives mostly positive feedback from parents praising the dedicated teachers, welcoming environment, and strong focus on both academic and social-emotional development. However, two parents reported serious concerns about staff treatment and allegations of discrimination and inappropriate handling of behavioral issues.
A truly amazing school! I enrolled my four-year-old daughter in the universal pre-k program at West End Temple. I had a fear of letting her attend a full day of school. How will she handle being away from me? Will the values I’ve instilled in my innocent little girl be lost? As a dedicated mother, my daughter’s education and happiness are my top priority. I was looking for a school that provided a safe and comfortable environment. I had hoped she would love school as much as she loves learning. This school far surpassed my expectations. She not only loves school but she loves her teachers. They have provided a place to help her little mind thrive. From the very first day I went to sign her up, the teachers did everything in their power to put her and I at ease, and make her feel welcomed. I’ve never met a group of teachers more dedicated to not only a child’s educational development but their social health and awareness. The values that are sometimes overlooked such as sharing, acceptance, and taking responsibility for ones actions are encouraged here. Every teacher has been kind, knowledgeable, and has shown that they genuinely care. Their dedication exceeds their professional obligation as teachers. You get a sense that the teachers here truly love their job and it shows in the students that attend their school. I strongly recommend this school to anyone looking for an exceptional academic experience.
As a parent of two children who attend this school I have been so happy with the program. My older child has been there since nursery school and is now in the UPK program. My younger child just started the nursery program this year. Their teachers from the beginning have been wonderful and my children are flourishing in the school. Both of my children love going to school everyday to not only see their friends but their teachers also. Parent involvement in the classroom is encouraged and the teachers go above and beyond to encourage learning. I highly recommend this program to incoming families.
I come here to do First Aid and CPR training. The staff is friendly and really care about the children. The place is well kept. Watching the parking. Check those signs. They have a parking lot. The rooms are nice and well kept. The rooms are huge.
Unfortunately, the temple made a decision to replace a nurturing, warm and welcoming director with decades of experience, one that had a thorough understanding of child behavior and psychology, with an ice queen. Also, based on our recent experience- looking for community service credit opportunities? If you are Christian, or not directly associated with the temple, you need not apply.
As parents we always wanted the best education for our 1 son and We thought that school was just going to be an amazing experience to share with our little man but unfortunately by putting our son in this school We had thought that Oh boy we were so wrong and it was the beginning of a very bumpy and difficult road, this school was the worst experience EVER as a mom and as family; My 4 year old son attended pre-K here and he was discriminated at this "school", it was his 1 time in a school new people new kids new experience as parents and as a schooler and as a parents you love your kids with all your heart but also know your kids are not always Angels However you do expect that the teachers that are "professionals" and Train will know how to handle situations and address it the best way, something that NEVER happened in this place we got calls at 9-10 pm from the teach telling us our son had something evil inside his head or in mornings the teacher wouldn't hesitate to stop us infron of other parents to say "its been hell" "there's something wrong with him" same exact words... they made us go through soo much personally and emotional and we thought that their was something wrong and they really were trying to help our son; until a real professional that heard our case (from the board of education) suggested we switch him from school because she dint find anything wrong with him and so did the other many specialists we took our son.... and ¡oh boy! :D since we switch our son his been improving non stop in All aspects (academically wise, his ability to comunicate and express him self) in just two short months that his been attending.
