Honestly I’ve been treated better by people working here where what I’m getting is FREE than at places where I pay to conduct business. They also have ministries which truly help people so they need money! Feed someone a nutritious meal by either donating or purchasing from their thrift shop! I never thought I would have to use a soup kitchen again, but hey things happen. Their thrift store is great. They don’t price gouge like other thrift stores do and it’s odor free. Just remember to take cash out as they don’t take cards.
The thrift store is unbelievably low cost. Everything is in good shape and you may be able to find a few name brand clothing items, all at the already low set cost, no mark-ups because of the brand. The money they make goes into the Center, which also provides free lunches during the week, and they have a food bank program. There's also a free sneakers program for children. And around Christmas time they have an unbelievably low priced toy sale. This is an awesome Center altogether. I'm sure they have other programs to offer that I'm just not aware of, but these are just the few I've been involved with at one time or another. They have wonderful people working there and they really care about you, your kids, your family, and their community.
This place is like a family dinner!!! I opened this Cafe 11years ago and that's how I wanted people able to sit down and enjoy a meal and talk with others and if they saw that someone was missing for a while let me know and I would try and find out was wrong!!! Plus reach out if they needed a meal we would send it home!!! Lived being the Soup Kitchen Manager and I truly Miss all the people that I came in touch with!!! God Bless One and All the Clients!!! Food was very good and staff exceptional and friendly. Would recommend for anybody in need a good. I will take money give a donation if I have the opportunity to go again.
