My 3-year-old granddaughter was mistreated at this daycare. While she was washing her hands and playing a little with the water, a staff member grabbed her arm roughly, squeezed it, and pulled her off the stool, leaving her hurt and crying. When my daughter came to pick her up, she found her crying in a corner. After confronting the staff, that person pushed my daughter outside, locked the door. We called the police and filed a report because no child deserves to go through this — especially in a place where parents trust and pay for their children to be cared for. My granddaughter never went back after that, but they still tried to charge us for the full month even though she only attended about 2 weeks. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this daycare to anyone. No parent should ever worry about their child being mistreated, and people who behave this way should not be working with children.

Kids are always sick due to lack of cleanliness, supervision of kids is inadequate, and the director does not handle parent/child issues appropriately nor does she care when issues are communicated. She only knows how to yell and scream at parents ( in front of kids nonetheless) when she is called out on her faults.

After having a couple not so great experiences, we found Wellington Academy. In the two years that my son spent there not only did he learn and grow so much , but they showed him love, kindness, and patience. A special shout out to Miss Nikki for always showing him that extra bit of love . You rock . I would recommend Wellington FTM to anyone.

Our son went to Wellington Academy from 12 weeks old to a year and 3 months old. Once he joined the one year old room he started acting out with biting and aggressive behavior toward other children. We thought it was a behavioral issue with our son and caused us to panic. We had diligently tried to right these behaviors, I wrote letters to the parents that we were trying our best to resolve this and spoke with Nikki (Director) constantly about how we can handle this, next steps, etc. and were never provided with a warning that our son would be kicked out. Then one day she calls me, tells me he bit, and to come and pick him up and that it would be his last day there. They completely blindsided us. We had to scramble to find another daycare and thankfully found one right away. He started at this new daycare on May 2nd and has been thriving! No biting, no hitting, no aggressive behavior. It truly was a blessing in disguise. Our new daycare provides our son with enough enrichment to keep him learning, focused and entertained and have a no screen time policy. Wellington could not provide any of that for us. We came to find out from another parent that they kicked out two other one year old's shortly before our son for biting and aggressive behaviors. After hearing this and having such wonderful experience at his new daycare, we don't think our son was the issue after all. We feel that Wellington dropped the ball on this and that their staff, at least who we dealt with, are unqualified.

My son has been at Wellington for a full year now. Out of the 7 day cares in Fort Myers that I visited, Wellington stood above and beyond as my top choice. The school is bright and clean, the rooms are big and have plenty of age-appropriate things to play on. The staff, everyone from the front desk ladies to the kitchen staff, to the classroom teachers (of other classes) all take the time to get to know your child's name and always great you in a friendly manner. In my experience the classroom teachers do their best to keep you informed on anything you need to know about your child/the classroom, and they really do seem to care. My son loves going to school here, and I like knowing that he's in a safe, clean environment where he is having fun AND learning. I would highly recommend it!
