What Parents Say
Wee Tymes Playschool receives mixed reviews with most parents praising the caring staff, family-oriented environment, and natural lighting. However, some parents report concerns about understaffing, lack of structured curriculum, safety issues, and policy enforcement.
My experience from the start with Wee Tymes has been wonderful. All of the teachers are amazing. Everything is kid first period from proper nutrition to overall development. They take great care of my kids. If I leave instructions regarding anything they listen and follow. They offer great information and instructions if you need anything. They are very quick to respond to you and they are very good with communicating with you regarding the kids. I would highly recommend this childcare facility . Keep up the great work!
Since I've been taking my daughter here. I have witnessed teachers frantically looking for missing children, because they are so severely under staffed with qualified personnel that kids wonder around outside. I watched the owner dragging a little Boy around by the arm while she cleaned. Because once again, they don't have the proper staff to look after children who need special help. They have received multiple citations because of this. The owner of the day care forces her strict diet on the children, even though she does not provide them with any lunches only snacks. I mean, there is probably a pretty good reason. After all, some parents bring in cold, hot dogs and macaroni cheese and a Sandwich bag and call that lunch. Finally the new language my daughter is learning because they co-mingle the toddlers with the school age children who are using bad language. I would advise any parent taking a child here to please do your research, look at the location and look at the staff. Most of the staff are amazing, well besides the owner a d teacher lisa I would not trust them. Especially if you're a single father. They like to change Child action to make the single father more out of pocket. I wonder what their real review would be I they didn't have teachers who are/were employed there give 5stars
It easy to write good reviews. The director puts on a good show for the parents same healthy meals and the home style environment. But you need to look deeper. Check out licensing for complaints. There are thing that are not even reported. This place should be close. But so long as employees and parents close their eyes it will remain open. It not a school but a daycare with no real curriculum. Children age group are mix quite often with results of children being hurt. Parents are never told the real truth. Sick Children are never sent home. Teachers are not CPR certified. Look into other preschools for education and safety. There are better places.
My 2 daughters 5 years and 4 years old have been going to this daycare since the 4 year old was only a few months old. we have been through the fire with them where she has had to replace many things, and she genuinely cares for each child. my children learn and know how to spell their names, and colors, shapes, letters, etc. they love the fact they go outside multiple times a day, to get their energy out as the kids say, and it helps them when it is time to take a nap. she loves the job she does and would recommend this place for someone that likes the "home" feeling as opposed to a "daycare" feeling.
We went around and visited about 7 daycare centers. We visited a private home, the really expensive place in the federal building by Kaiser, and everything in between. We saw some crazy stuff in the home. Never would I put my child in the care of a single individual. Especially someone who is going to step on a Cheerio with their bare feet then put it back on the plate the child is eating from. That happened during our interview! lol Other places were too sterile and institutional with the children under fluorescent lighting all day. One place had workers with oily hair and one that just stared at our child with no expression on her face. The people seemed depressed except for the manager who we really liked. So, we are not uptight people but sensitive to our environment. Ok...so off to Wee Tymes. During the phone call the owner said come on by whenever you want. Ok...that was cool. Right away I sensed passion for what they do and love for children. The place is very family oriented. The people there have been doing it for years, so they must love what they do. Individuals were clean and happy people. When I saw the natural light coming in from large windows and a huge sky light I was feeling really good about the place. When we got home we prayed and thought about it all. Wee Tymes was the perfect fit. My wife and I both felt really comfortable about the place. After about 6 months of being at Wee Times we have seen nothing but love for the children and children that are happy and close to the childcare providers. I would highly recommend Wee Tymes to anyone having to trust others to care for their child.
